Broomfield Burg 4/1 FAV in Newbury Betfair Hurdle Racing Odds

BROOMFIELD BURG looks like a tremendous competitor and opened the season well with a bumper and a hurdle win.

He then went close in a couple of handicaps, including one at Cheltenham in a very warm and deep contest, taking up a runner’s place.

Broomfield Burg was back in winning form last time out as she scored at Kempton Boxing Day.

That was in a novices’ event and he just looks as if he is going places.

He clearly enters as a threat and is the 4/1 favourite on Betfair hurdle betting* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on February 11th 2022 at Betfair)

JETOILE
11/1

Betfair

Jpr One offers an interesting challenge

This is a big race for one so inexperienced as JPR ONE who enters as an 11/2 second favourite* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on February 11th 2022 at Betfair).

That market reaction hints at the potential that he has on his side, however. It’s been three racetrack appearances for him and three very good efforts.

Over the winter JPR One took wins in novice hurdle events at Exeter and Taunton. But neither of those were the pick of his form.

That came when he rattled the crossbar at Cheltenham on his penultimate run. He looks full of potential. But is this just too much too soon?

Jetoile could make his presence felt

JETOILE is a likeable one and he put on a very good show at the Tolworth to take a runner-up spot in that one.

He’d only found Constitution Hill, who will probably be the favourite for this year’s Supreme Novices’ at the Cheltenham Festival, too good for him on the day.

Before the Tolworth, Jetoile had taken back to back wins at Chepstow and Leicester, making all on both occasions.

He’s made a lot of progress in a short amount of time. The fact that he ran with such credit in the Grade 1 Tolworth says a lot about him.

Jetoile is an 11/1 punt in the Betfair Hurdle odds* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on February 11th 2022 at Betfair).

Knappers HIll could play a role

Another that could easily play his part in these competitive fixture is KNAPPERS HILL who is not to be underestimated.

He’s an unexposed one but found some excellent form with a third-place finish in a Grade 2 at Ascot in December.

That’s the epic of his form, even though he did complete a five-timer just before that one. Knappers Hill is a proven performer over the hurdles.

He is certainly not out of the picture for a shortlist selection at 10/1 in Betfair Hurdle odds* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on February 11th 2022 at Betfair).

I Like To Move It not to be written off

I LIKE TO MOVE IT is worth a look in the horse racing betting as well for this big hurdles run. He was last seen in an Ascot Grade 2.

He took a fifth-place finish in that one, which was a steady race and I Like To Move It would probably have preferred a stiffer pace.

He’s not to write out of this, however, as he had completed a hat trick over the winter before going to Ascot.

I Like To Move It comes from a winning yard as well and is interesting for 11/1* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on February 11th 2022 at Betfair)

Others to note

SOARING GLORY hasn’t been seen to the best effect in his last few efforts, smaller fields not really bringing the best out of him. He goes at the top weight on Saturday but won this last year and on his appearance, this season did win a Listed run at Ascot.

GLORY AND FORTUNE is another to consider as he banked an excellent runner up spot in the Christmas Hurdle at Kempton. The Welsh Champion Hurdle winner had some of Saturday’s rivals behind him last time out.

BOOTHILL has some potential as he makes the switch back to the timbers. He opened the season well enough but was well below par in a chase on his latest. The return to this sphere could perk him up.

FIFTY BALL was the runner up in last year’s renewal of this but hasn’t really pushed on in chasing since then. But over the hurdles where he has performed well before, and for a yard that is in form, he could have a chance.

Predictions & Tips for Newbury Betfair Hurdle Racing Odds

This year’s Betfair Hurdle is competitively wide-open with claims running deep through the field. It should be a spectacle.

The first selection is going to be JETOILE at 11/1* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on February 11th 2022 at Betfair).

Being beaten only by one of the best novices’ around in the Tolworth last time out, Jetoile should pose a threat.

KNAPPERS HILL also piques interest for the shortlist as he brings an unexposed threat to the table.

There’s been plenty of progress by him to suggest that place claims are not out of the question.

Novices do generally go well in the Betfair Hurdle and with that in mind, Jpr One has to be worth a look at 11/2 despite being another unexposed one* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on February 11th 2022 at Betfair).
