She opened the season with a good victory at Thirsk in April at this distance. So that sets her up well.
But even better than that was Golden Pass’s second place at Pontefract last time out in a Listed contest. She ran superbly and looks to really be heading in the right direction.
Golden Pass is progressive and she will need to be at her best in this one. This is a very strong competitive renewal of the Aphrodite.
Free Wind seeks the hattrick
Arriving in top shape at the moment is FREE WIND who looks certain to go well for the Gosdens.
Free Wind is the current 11/4 second favourite for this one as she seeks a hat-trick for the season.
She was an expensive purchase and has been looking superb value for money so far.
Free Wind got off the mark on her reappearance in a maiden and then followed up win a minor effort three weeks ago at Doncaster.
She is on the up and warrants her place at this level. Free Wind is a very exciting prospect and rates a danger.
Oriental Mystique with a chance
ORIENTAL MYSTIQUE is another with strong claims for the Aphrodite. She is a quote of 6/1 to land the score* (odds recorded at 21:25 GMT on July 16th, 2021 at Coral).
She has raced at a higher level than each of the other competitors in this field.
This season she has been going well in defeat, having taken a third-place finish in all three runs.
Oriental Mystique was dropped in trip for her last effort, which didn’t quite go her way with an emphasis on speed in the fixture.
But coming back to this, she has enough to get in the frame, especially when considering a recent third in a Group 3 at Newcastle.
Talbeyah is on the up at the moment
Another of the progressive 3-year-olds in this field who is on the up is TALBEYAH.

It has been two wins from three for her this season, getting off the mark on her reappearance.
The latest win that she took last month in a Salisbury handicap as she battled well to get herself on top in the contest.

ABSTINENCE broke her maiden on her reappearance run and remains low mileage. That opening win was at Chelmsford on a 1m tip in May.
She was then sent into a Group 3 at Newcastle and performed with credit to take fourth, keeping on well. The extra trip may help further.
EILEENDOVER won three times in the bumpers and has had a couple of runs on the flat in which she performed well.
She was at Pontefract last time out taking a sixth-place finish and had some of those re-opposing on Saturday ahead of her.
BLACK LOTUS is unexposed on this trip. Back in June she took on a Listed effort at Pontefract and was a fifth of seventh in that.
She had shaped well before hitting trouble. Black Lotus may have something to find in such a strong field.
