Alcohol Free the 10/3 FAV in Falmouth Stakes Odds

Andrew Balding’s ALCOHOL FREE looks destined for bigger things. There was a positive start to this new season from her.

Alcohol Free impressively took the Fred Darling to really put her on the map. But it was her latest that has projected her ability further.

She turned up at the Group 1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot and got the better of SNOW LANTERN by one and a half lengths.

She also had MOTHER EARTH behind her in that result.

So that was a convincing victory and there is likely even more progress to come from her across the course of the season.

Alcohol Free has to firmly be in the mix here from a quote of 10/3* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at William Hill).

Can Snow Lantern turn the tables on Alcohol Free?

SNOW LANTERN is certainly in with a shout in this one. On her fourth racetrack appearance, she appeared at Royal Ascot in the Coronation Stakes.

It was a fantastic run as well, splitting the two former Group 1 winners Alcohol Free and Mother Earth in it.

So that was proof that she can handle Group 1 company and clearly hasn’t finished progressing yet.

Snow Lantern delivered a win in a Newbury Maiden on her return and followed up with a slightly disappointing trip at York.

But that run at Ascot showed what she is capable of and Richard Hannon’s filly is expected to be right there.

Snow Lantern is a quote of 4/1 to turn the tables on Alcohol Free* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at William Hill).

Can Mother Earth outshine the rest at Newmarket?

Former Group 1 winner MOTHER EARTH can’t be counted out of this, despite getting beat by any two of these rivals in the Connotation.

It has been a good year for Mother Earth who collected the 1000 Guineas crown from Saffron Beach who re-opposes here.

She then followed up with a place finish in the Irish 1000 Guineas and then at the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Mother Earth just hit her stride a little too late to do anything about the other two at Royal Ascot. But when she found her gear, she looked superb.

She will give another good account of herself we’re sure and is a player from a 6/1 quote* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at William Hill).

Can Indie Angel have a say?

Also arriving with form from Royal Ascot is INDIE ANGEL who is a quote of 12/1 for Falmouth Stakes racing odds* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at William Hill).

She delivered a win in the Duke of Cambridge under Frankie Dettori, who is back in the saddle for Friday’s.

She is up against some of those who she beat at Royal Ascot. The track helped her at Royal Ascot and Indie Angel managed to get herself into a great position.

Can she take that form forward now in taking on a deeper field in a tougher race?

Primo Bacio looks a good fit on her return

Most of this field was at Royal Ascot, but because of the ground conditions, PRIMO BACIO took a pass.

She can’t be discounted from having a chance here. The filly delivered a win at York in the Dante meeting on her latest run, getting the better of Snow Lantern in that one.

The disadvantage here is that she meets others who are just a little more match fit. But Primo Bacio is a high-quality, highly progressive sort.

There are place claims there from her at 6/1* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at William Hill).

The Rest Of The Runners

CHAMPS ELYSEES was behind Indie Angel at the Duke Of Cambridge last time out. She is a former Group 1 winner, but on the current form has a lot to find in this strong field.

LADY BOWTHROPE is not without claims. She is a great, high-quality mare and she opened the season with a victory in the Dahlia over some of these.

Following a superb second in the Lockinge, Lady Bowthorpe was runner up in the Duke Of Cambridge. She’s not to be discounted.

LAVENDER’S BLUE was in the Duke Of Cambridge and never really looked like posing a threat in the contest. There are more convincing options elsewhere in this field.

QUEEN POWER has had a good consistent season. There was a victory for her in Middleton at York on her penalty, smashing the field there.

But there were question marks over her run-in taking third in the Duke Of Cambridge.

ILLYKATO looks as if she could be well out of her depth in this one. She comfortably won a Listed effort in May but was well out of things on a follow up at Carlisle.

JUST BEAUTIFUL is undefeated across four races. The extra distance that is on offer here should help her, but the quality of the field is likely to leave her massively exposed.

PRETTY GORGEOUS ran out of steam in the Coronation at Royal Ascot. There was a good juvenile campaign from her, but she’s unlikely to be a threat at his level.

SAFFRON BEACH went close in the 1000 Guineas this season and has continued in good fashion for a large part.

Her last run will be a concern though as she was well down the field in the Oaks, the conditions perhaps getting the better of her.

Predictions & Tips for Falmouth Stakes Racing Odds

What a line up there is in this contest. This should be a fantastic fixture because the field of claims is really deep.

Our horse racing tip is ALCOHOL FREE at 7/2* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at William Hill).

We think she just gets there on the back of her victories in the Fred Darling and the Coronation this season. Those are top pieces of form.

MOTHER EARTH has to be looked at as well. She’s a firm shortlist contender as she is quietly having an excellent season and has a lot of appeal from 6/1 in Falmouth Stakes racing odds* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at William Hill).

The final shortlist contender is going to be LADY BOWTHORPE who looks a good fit for this at a 7/1 quote* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at William Hill).

A look back at her Dahlia form from her reappearance hints at more and held herself well against some of those on her latest at Royal Ascot.
