Master Of The Seas 13/8 FAV in Newmarket Joel Stakes Racing Odds

MASTER OF THE SEA is lining up as the current 13/8 favourite* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on September 23rd, 2021 at Coral).

It has been fine stuff from him this season, really kicking on and delivering on the promise he showed as a juvenile.

Master Of The Sea returns after a break of 146 days. He was in contention in the 2000 Guineas here on his latest, when he was reeled in at the line by Poetic Flare.

He did win the course and distance Craven Stakes, so Charlie Appleby’s colt is a big player in this one.

Another big factor in this is he receives 4lb from one of the main challengers, BENBATL.

Can Benbatl fight his way to success?

A bold effort is expected from BENBATL in this contest, holding previous excellent form in this fixture.

He claimed the victory in the 2019 edition of this one and then was third in a defence last year.

A month ago Benbatl returned from a break of a month.

After 11 months away he was only just touched off in the Celebration Mile at Goodwood. Benbatl should be better for that effort.

He does give that 4lb to Master Of The Seas so Benbatl is going to have his work cut out.

But he’s a classy one and a quote of 5/2 to get there* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on September 23rd, 2021 at Coral).

Can Laneqash deliver on a step up in distance?

Coming up to the 1m trip, LANEQASH could pose a threat for trainer Roger Varian in this contest. He’s a low-mileage 3-year-old.

This season he delivered a good place effort finishing on a 7f trip in the Hungerford Stakes at Newbury and then in the Park Stakes at Doncaster.

So it’s been solid efforts by Laneqash and likely has more to offer on this trip.

He is not without claims at a quote of 6/1* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on September 23rd, 2021 at Coral).

Sir Busker not to be ruled out

There was a lot of promise coming on for SIR BUKSER last year and he has continued in good shape for 20201.

A notable piece of form was his third place finish in the Queen Anne at Royal Ascot. There was also a third for him in a Salisbury Listed race nine days ago.

Sir Busker is turned out quickly here, but he doesn’t look to be out of the running in this contest. Place claims are there.

Sir Busker is a quote of 7/1* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on September 23rd, 2021 at Coral).

Can Perotto find more for Newmarket challenge?

The big success of the season for PEROTTO came at Royal Ascot when he landed the Britannia.

Most of the form since that effort by Perotto has been good. This is a more demanding challenge for him however.

It’s a big challenge as well having run two days ago at Goodwood in a Listed Race. There was a credible fourth place finish for Perotto there.

A place finish would probably be quite the success for him up at his level against some top company.

Queen Supreme not to be counted out

Even from outsider odds, QUEEN SUPREME may offer something on her return to action after 7 months away.

The last time she was seen was in a Group 1 at Kenilworth over a longer 10f trip. This will be the first run by Queen Supreme for new trainer Andrew Balding.

Boosted by the booking of Ryan Moore, Queen Supreme could have a say in her first appearance in Europe.

She is a top mare from South Africa and is interesting entry at 16/1* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on September 23rd, 2021 at Coral).

Can Pogo go for the win?

POGO opened the season with a good win at Leicester back in the spring. That was in a Listed contest.

After a slip in form, there was a good return to form from her on his latest.

Pogo put in a very credible third place finish at the Celebration Mile at Goodwood a month ago.

He is lining up as a 16/1 quote in horse racing betting* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on September 23rd, 2021 at Coral).

Accidental Agent

Not being the most consistent of horses, ACCIDENTAL AGENT is the 25/1 outsider for Joel Stakes racing odds* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on September 23rd, 2021 at Coral).

The winner of the 2018 Queen Anne scored over the July course here on a 1m trip in the summer. On his latest he was second at Haydock three weeks ago.

Predictions & Tips for Newmarket Joel Stakes Racing Odds

It is an intriguing market for Newmarket Joel Stakes racing odds on Friday. There are some reasonable claims around for most.

Starting at the top it is MASTER OF THE SEAS who could take advantage of the weights against lively challenger BENBATL.

It would be great to see them go at it across the mile trip in this contest. But the better, current form is with the former who is a 13/8 shot* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on September 23rd, 2021 at Coral)..

Filling out the places we are going to swing to the option of LANEQASH. He’s been moved up to the 1m trip which looks like a good fit for him.

Laneqash has looked strong in his place efforts and following a good Group 2 second at Doncaster, has to be right in the frame at 11/2* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on September 23rd, 2021 at Coral)..
