Project Dante 10/3 FAV in Newmarket July Stakes Racing Odds

The exciting PROJECT DANTE certainly looks like being one to watch for this contest.

He is the current 10/3 favourite in the July Stakes Racing odds* (odds recorded at 21:13 GMT on July 7th, 2021 at Coral).

Fittingly with his name, he delivered a win on his debut at the Dante meeting at York.

He then improved further for his second racetrack appearance.

Project Dante’s latest run was in the Group 2 Norfolk at Ascot last month where he was finishing fast. That’s a terrific piece of form to keep in mind.

Project Dante didn’t get a clear run in the Norfolk either, there was plenty there hampering him.

We think that step up in trip is just going to see him go ever stronger.

Does Eldrickjones have enough to score?

In the Coventry at Royal Ascot last month, there was an eye-catching run delivered by ELDRICKJONES.

He outran massive 66/1 odds to take second place in that contest. That leaves him as a popular option for this follow up on Thursday.

That run in the Coventry was his second racetrack appearance after just missing out at Thirsk on his debut.

The one question will be about the depth of that recent Royal Ascot contest, as it didn’t look to be the strongest renewal of the fixture.

But nonetheless, Eldrickjones shaped well and this may be a truer test of his current standing.

Eldrickjones is the current 4/1 second favourite* (odds recorded at 21:13 GMT on July 7th, 2021 at Coral).

Asymmetric has plenty to offer

Alan King’s ASYMMETRIC will be putting his unbeaten form on the line on Thursday at Newmarket.

He opened with a strong debut score at Goodwood. That form was franked as well, with the second-place finisher going on to win his next run.

Asymmetric followed up in a novice over course and distance after that. There is plenty to like above the expensive colt.

He enters the fray as an 11/1 shot in July Stakes racing odds, but there are place claims there from him* (odds recorded at 21:13 GMT on July 7th, 2021 at Coral).

Will Dig Two return to winning ways?

Earlier this season there was a fine double completed by DIG TWO which puts him on the map for this one.

He got off the mark at the second attempt, which happened to be here at Newmarket.

Dig Two then shrugged off a penalty to score at Chelmsford impressively at 6f.

There was further progress from him as he went to Royal Ascot and found only one too good on the day in the Windsor Castle.

From a quote of 9/1, there is plenty of appeal for place claims from him* (odds recorded at 21:13 GMT on July 7th, 2021 at Coral).

Can the talented Ebro River run a straight race?

EBRO RIVER will rightly be fancied from a quote of 13/2 in racing betting* (odds recorded at 21:13 GMT on July 7th, 2021 at Coral).

He has won twice this season from four appearances. There have been some issues with him hang to both left and right in runs.

But if connections can get his head straight then he has a big chance here. Ebro River was last seen in the Coventry, where he was a fifth-place finisher.

That was about right for his form and it will be interesting to see if he has had any progression when he takes this on.

The rest of the runners

TOLSTOY comes from a top yard and is no forlorn hope with Frankie Dettori in the saddle. He banked a win on his debut and then found the going in the Coventry a little too much for him.

THE ORGANISER was also on show in the Coventry, but he was too keen there and faded.

The tongue-tie is tried for the first time here as he looks to return to winning ways after scoring on his debut at York.

SAM MAXIMUS opened his account well on his debut, which was at Haydock. He didn’t look quite as sharp on his follow up run at Pontefract.

LUSAIL defied some long odds to land his debut at York in May. he delivered his second win in three runs this year after smashing 11 rivals here at Newmarket over 7f three weeks ago. Possibilities are there.

JADHLAAN got off the mark at the third time of asking. He shrugged off some greenness to pick up a nice win at York a month ago. Will likely have to find more.

ALLEZDANCER is sitting on a hat-trick chance. He got off the mark at Beverley and then easily tore apart a fairly weak field back there under a penalty for a follow-up.

He has every chance of getting in the thick of things.

Predictions & Tips for Newmarket July Stakes Racing Odds

PROJECT DANTE does look exciting and with a clean run, he may well have taken the Norfolk Stakes last time out.

That is a reasonable assumption and he has to be on the shortlist as a 10/3 selection in July Stakes racing odds* (odds recorded at 21:13 GMT on July 7th, 2021 at Coral).

We think that ASYMMETRIC can be chanced from longer odds after a superb, effortless and uncomplicated win over course and distance last time out.

He’s a 12/1 each-way punt* (odds recorded at 21:13 GMT on July 7th, 2021 at Coral).

Because he ran with such credit in the Windsor Castle last time out, DIG TWO gets on the shortlist for this one.

It may not take too much to see him return to winning ways, so he should get close.
