Max Vega 5/2 FAV in Newmarket Rose Bowl Stakes Racing Odds

It wouldn’t be a big surprise to see MAX VEGA put together a strong run at Newmarket on Thursday.

He is the current 5/2 favourite in Rose Bowl racing odds* (odds recorded at 18:15 GMT on September 22nd, 2021 at Coral).

It is his recent form at the Ebor which suggests that he can get close to landing a win here. He was fifth from a long way back at York a month ago.

There is also winning form at Newmarket as well, Max Vega claiming the Zetland Stakes as a juvenile at the venue.

Max Vega wasn’t that far away in the Ebor at York and he was hampered by some traffic as well in the contest, so could have potentially been closer still.

Can Roberto Escobarr turn the tables on Max Vega?

Another of the key players at Newmarket on Thursday is ROBERTO ESCOBARR who was also last seen in the Ebor.

In that York contest, Roberto Escobarr finished a place back from Max Vega. He has extra work on his plate as he faces that rival again.

That’s because he is now 2lb worse off than that rival. But there was a Listed success for Roberto Escobarr earlier this season.

The 4-year-old, trained by Willie Haggas, landed a score at York back in June. He is most certainly no forlorn hope.

Roberto Escobarr is a current quote of 6/1 in horse racing betting* (odds recorded at 18:15 GMT on September 22nd, 2021 at Coral).

Can Nayef Road rediscover his spark?

One of the horses with the most ability in this field is NAYEF ROAD who was looking set for big things in 2020.

He was the main challenger to Stradivarius at Ascot and Goodwood last summer, finishing second to that rival.

But since then Nayef Road hasn’t looked back at that same kind of level. 2021 has been a bit of a grind for Mark Johnston’s 5 year old.

Nayef Road still warrants respect. He showed some nice form to take a place finish at Doncaster last time out.

That was up at Grade 2, so the ease in grade has to help his chances follow that Doncaster Cup effort.

Nayef Road is at a quote of 3/1* (odds recorded at 18:15 GMT on September 22nd, 2021 at Coral)

Island Brave in with a shout

Coming up in Grade is ISLAND BRAVE at 11/1 in horse racing betting* (odds recorded at 18:15 GMT on September 22nd, 2021 at Coral).

He is a pretty handy handicapper and has produced some consistent form over the summer. All of that culminated in a recent win for him.

Island Brave got his nose in front at Haydock 19 days ago and got the boost of having Ryan Moore booked for Thursday.

Rhythmic Intent not out of the picture

There was a victory for RHYTHMIC INTENT two weeks ago at Doncaster. That was in a 10-runner handicap.

He steps up to the Listed level for the first time so is unexposed here. But Rhythmic Intent looks like a good reliable sort.

There may be a decent enough showing from him to see him pull his way into the picture, despite being the 14/1 outsider currently* (odds recorded at 18:15 GMT on September 22nd, 2021 at Coral).

Rest Of The Runners

EILEENDOVER won her handicap debut on the July course on her penultimate run. A credible fourth in the Park Hill at Doncaster since gives her claims, as this is an easier contest.

SLEEPING LION was in a Group 3 effort last time out and made no impression whatsoever. He did score on his reappearance but hasn’t gone forward since then.

MORANDO would probably prefer the ground a bit softer. He’s shown glimpses of old form this season but hasn’t looked like a great threat recently.

CROWNS MAJOR produced a very good turn to take fourth at Leopardstown on his latest. That followed a score at Galway in a handicap. Place claims are there.

Predictions & Tips for Newmarket Rose Bowl Stakes Racing Odds

MAX VEGA looks like a big threat in this field at a quote of 5/2* (odds recorded at 18:15 GMT on September 22nd, 2021 at Coral).

His effort in the Ebor was eye-catching and he is likely going to bring enough to the table in this one to take the score.

Strong place claims are certainly there for ROBERTO ESCOBARR considering his close finish to Max Vega in the Ebor.

The other to keep on the shortlist is going to be the longer odds option of ISLAND BRAVE. Ryan Moore being booked is interesting as Island Brave comes back up in Grade and in good form.
