Odds on Nigeria to beat Bosnia | World Cup 2014

Nigeria can only improve from opening display

Nigeria v Bosnia
Nigeria v Bosnia

Bosnia spent much of their opening Group F match against Argentina on the back foot. They will attempt to be more positive against a Nigeria outfit they will have every hope of beating. Bosnia are potent in attack with the line being led by Manchester City forward Edin Dzeko. They are pretty average at the back and their midfield is largely lacklustre. The squad lacks depth and if any of the starting XI from Sunday are injured, the cover is inadequate.

Nigeria admittedly didn’t play well against Iran and should have seen that game as their best chance of taking three points at this World Cup. However, they wil be out to make amends against a distinctly ordinary Bosnia. In Lille goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama, they have a very solid shot stopper. John Obi Mikel is a quality in the midfield while their attacking options are in abundance with the likes of Victor Moses, Emmanuel Emenike, Peter Odemwingie and Shola Ameobi to call upon. There’s enough firepower there to worry most sides at the World Cup. Nigeria didn’t play well against Iran, but they can only improve from that performance.

The lastest odds on Nigeria beating Bosnia are 7/2.
