Barring a cricket score victory by Algeria over Russia, Belgium should top the group. However, they’ve been mightily unimpressive in beating Algeria and Russia for a squad that was hyped up so much in the months leading up to Brazil 2014. Even though there is massive scope for Belgium to improve, Marc Wilmots may be tempted to rotate his squad slightly ahead of their final group match with South Korea. And with rotation comes weakness and disorganisation.
The Koreans have only one point, gained by drawing with Russia. Algeria pretty much cruised to a 4-2 win over them so the Koreans are basically playing for pride. South Korea are certainly good enough to get a draw against Belgium, based on the way the Red Devils have played in the tournament so far. And it wouldn’t take much for the Asian side to nick a late winner.
The latest odds on South Korea beating Belgium are 17/4.

VERDICT: Belgium believe they’ve got one foot in the round of 16 already and may take this game a little less seriously than they did their previous two games. And in those two games they weren’t very impressive at all. It all reveals that South Korea could pick off the Belgians and end their tournament on high. Go low-scoring in this game, with Korea winning 1-0.
