Olympiakos News and Form – Can Greeks earn another clean sheet?

It is a W3 L1 record from four previous games against Russian teams that Olympiakos hold. They came into the qualifiers in the second round this season, and have yet to concede a goal. That’s four clean sheets from four games. They may be at a little disadvantage with their domestic season not starting up until later in the month, so they are lacking a bit of game time.

That hasn’t stopped them so far though with a 4-0 aggregate success over Viktoria Plzen to start with before landing a 3-0 success against Basaksehir. They have scored all but one of their seven European goals this season on home soil. The last season the Greeks were in the Europa League and made it out of the group stage, but fell in the first knockout tie. Olympiakos are undefeated in their last ten European home games now and have won seven of their last eight two-legged European ties,

FK Krasnodar News and Form – Will Krasnodar take a step towards Group Stage debut?

This will be only the second-ever visit to Greece that Krasnodar have made. Their previous visit was to PAOK back in 2015 which ended in a 0-0 draw. Krasnodar have been in action on the domestic front with the Russian top-flight kicking off last month. Across all competitions this season they have taken a W5 D1 L2 record. Krasnodar came into the qualifiers in the last round where they pulled off an underdog success against FC Porto.

That was after losing the first leg at home, but they came back with a 3-2 success in Portugal to win through. The Russians had raced out to a 3-0 lead in the second leg and despite being pegged back, managed to win through on away goals. This is their first-ever Champions League Qualification campaign. They have been in Europa League action in each of the last five seasons. Last season they did make it to the round of sixteen in the Europa League. The Russians are D1 L4 in their last five away games in Europe.

Olympiakos v FK Krasnodar Predictions

Olympiakos to win: We like the look of Olympiakos coming up with the win in this one. They are on a good streak of European home form and if you stack that up against the less than ideal road form of the Russians in Europe, there’s a clearer picture.
