Over 2.5 goals betting strategy (part 3)
My last article suggested Dutching Over 2.5 goals along with 1 – 0, 1 – 1 and 2 – 0.
Another way of looking at this is , Can you find a HOME team who can score at least One GOAL in the game.
Now this sounds too good to be true. A fair average for games ending 0 – 0, 0 – 1 and 0 – 2, the only losing scores in this strategy, is 1 out of 5 games. This seems to be fairly consistant whichever leagues I check.
This average is even lower in the Premiership this season. Less than 18%. So I’ve checked thru’ some stats and come up with the following.
Column one. Number of home defeats.
Column Two. Number of 0 – 0 Home Draws.
Column Three. Number of games which would have been losers using this strategy.

Hopefully these figures will give a guide as to which teams are more likely to be of use to anyone using this strategy.
Some of these figures are a little surprising..
Burnley and W.H.U., despite their overall dismal records are definitely amongst the teams that show-up well when previous results are cheched thru’.
One point which is worth bearing in mind when choosing possible teams/matches. Two HIGH-SCORING teams playing each other should not be an automatic choice. espite their potential, it’s almost certain that they both have water tight defences. Just check the results. High Scoring sides always tend to have solid defences.
As ever, DO give some credence to Head-to-head results.
Never bet more than you can afford to lose.
