Online betting site Paddy Power are offering six places at the Open Alstom de France golf betting this week. That offers some tremendous coverage for the action from Le Golf National. It was Graeme McDowell who lifted the title last year and he is back to defend his title, with the Northern Ireland star trading at a price of 11/1 with Paddy Power to go on and retain the title.

He was embroiled in a great battle twelve months ago with South Africa’s Richard Sterne. He is also back for another shot at the tournament, but is a heavy outside shot at 50/1, not carrying the form to suggest that he is really going to lay down a challenge. But that is where there is great value in taking each way shots on the market, especially with an extra place on offer at Paddy Power.

Trading as outright favourite for the tournament is Martin Kaymer, the 2014 US Open Champion. The German has looked pretty solid all season and he almost got himself a top ten finish last season at the Alstom Open De France. He actually has decent history at the tournament, having carded four top ten finishes from seven appearances. Kaymer is running as 9/1 favourite at Paddy Power.

Other big names in the field trading well are Francesco Molinari at 18/1, with Thomas Bjorn, Jamie Donaldson and Victor Dubuisson hovering around the 25/1 mark. Take the extra coverage on offer at Paddy Power with their Extra Places promotion for the Open Alstom de France. This great offer runs through July 17th, so will include both the Sottish Open and British Open as well!
