After winning the 2012 Premier League darts crown, Phil Taylor has attracted some new interest in the 2013 PDC Darts World Championship betting market. The Power, after topping the Premier League table this season, went into Finals night on Thursday as firm favourite. After seeing of English compatriot James Wade in the semi finals, Taylor went on to face Australia’s Simon Whitlock. The Wizard put up a decent fight, but it was Taylor who ran out 10-7 winner to claim his 6th Premier League crown in the eight years which it has been running. So now Taylor will be heavily backed to go out an reclaim his World Title crown.

Taylor, top of the PDC Order of Merit is already ante post favourite in 2013 PDC Darts World Championship betting. But odds on him have just been trimmed slightly after his Premier League triumph on Thursday night. The Premier League title was the first PDC Premier title of the year for Taylor.

The 2013 PDC Darts World Championship betting will start on December 13th, 2012 with the final being played on January 1st, 2013. The Thirteen, yes, thirteen times World Champion (fifteen if you count his two BDO World Championship titles too) hasn’t tasted victory at the event though for two years. He has seen his apprentice Adrian Lewis win back to back World Championships, but Taylor still has the fight and the hunger.
