Poland News and Form – Can Poland make it four wins from four?

It is a three-match winnings streak that Poland are currently on. They took a 1-0 win at Macedonia on Friday in their third qualification match. That added to their points from wins over Austria and Latvia. So that has been a good, confident start. Each of those three wins were without conceding as well. Poland needed that response because they did not have a good time in the Nations League. They finished bottom of their group there behind Italy and Portugal.

Before they started the Euro 2020 qualification campaign, they had been on a six-match winless streak (D3 L3). Robert Lewandowski has scored only one of the four goals that Poland have managed in the qualifiers so far, while Krysztof Piatken is leading the way for them with two. Each of Poland’s last six games have ended under 2.5 goals, so this may not be a big, expansive fixture. Unless Israel come out in a positive mood that is.

Key-Facts – Poland v Israel

  • There has been seven goals by Israel in their last two fixtures
  • Israel’s Eran Zahavi has scored 7 of their 8 qualification goals

Israel News and Form – Can Israel secure another group win?

Israel have done very well at the start of their qualification campaign. They have collected seven points from their three fixtures. Their first game ended in a 1-1 draw at home Slovenia but then they kicked into life with a 4-2 win over Austria. They paid a visit to Latvia on Friday and recorded a 3-0 win there. So that is a total of seven goals in their last two games. Israel are currently in good form it should be noted.

Israel have scored at least two goals in six of their last seven games now. They have totalled eight goals in their three qualification matches. Eran Zahavi has scored seven of those eight, netting back to back hat tricks. That has to make him a pretty viable option in the anytime goalscorer market as his confidence must be through the roof. There has been one clean sheet in their last three games by Israel. They could make things interesting in Poland.

Poland v Israel Predictions

Poland to win: There should be a win on home soil for Poland in this one, but they could come under a decent amount of pressure. It could be a higher scoring game that immediately is probably going to be anticipated by most. Over 2.5 goals.
