Watford vs Tottenham Hotspur Preview – Can the Hornets continue their superb revival?

Nigel Pearson has done a remarkable job since inheriting the managerial reigns at Vicarage Road. The Hornets are unbeaten in five in the Premier League, winning four and drawing one. This Saturday, Pearson’s side welcome Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur to Hertfordshire.

Spurs have not quite been at the races of late, failing to win in the Premier League since beating Brighton & Hove Albion at home on Boxing Day. Since then, Mourinho’s boys have taken just one point from a possible nine.

When these two sides met at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in October, the pair played out an eventful 1-1 draw. Can Watford continue their excellent form by beating the Lilywhites at Vicarage Road on Saturday?

Newcastle United vs Chelsea Preview – Blues to claim a narrow win at St James’?

Frank Lampard takes his Chelsea troops to St James’ Park to play Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United on Saturday evening. It was a close game in the reverse match at Stamford Bridge a few months back, as a late Marcos Alonso goal was enough to give the Blues a 1-0 win.

Since winning three of four in December, Newcastle are without a win in four league matches, losing three and drawing one. However, they did ease past Rochdale in an Emirates FA Cup replay on Tuesday.

Chelsea, who sit fourth in the table, will be targeting all three points from Saturday’s trip up to Tyneside. Will the London side stroll to a victory?

Premier League Key-Facts

  • Watford are unbeaten in six in all competitions, winning four and drawing two
  • Chelsea have won seven of their 11 away league matches so far
  • Liverpool have scored in every Premier League game this season

Liverpool vs Manchester United Preview – Klopp’s boys to secure another comfortable win?

The standout game in the Premier League this weekend is Sunday’s showdown at Anfield between fierce rivals Liverpool and Manchester United. The Red Devils are the only team to have taken points from the Reds in the Premier League this season, but Jurgen Klopp’s men are the strong favourites in this one.

Liverpool have won a staggering 20 of their 21 league matches this season. The Merseyside outfit have been faultless at Anfield, winning 11 out of 11, scoring 29 goals to boot. Since drawing at Old Trafford, the Reds have won 12 Premier League matches in a row.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s boys have struggled away from home this season, claiming just three wins from 11 matches. This may be a big derby game for the Red Devils, but they could be in for a long afternoon at Anfield.

Watford vs Tottenham Hotspur Tips & Odds

Draw at 4/1

Tottenham could really do with a win after taking just one point from the last nine on offer. Watford are in tip-top shape, though, and I fancy the Hornets to hold Spurs to a draw (4/1) at Vicarage Road.

Newcastle United vs Chelsea Tips & Odds

Chelsea to win -1 at 13/10

Chelsea have blown hot and cold in recent months, but the London side will fancy their chances of getting the better of out-of-sorts Newcastle this weekend. Put some money on the away team to win -1 at 13/10.

Liverpool vs Manchester United Tips & Odds

Liverpool to win to nil at 5/4

Klopp’s Reds look unstoppable at the moment, winning each of their last six in league action without conceding a single goal. United are in patchy form, so my money is going on a routine home win for the runaway Premier League leaders. The hosts are priced at 5/4 to win to nil.
