One punter at Paddy Power enjoyed an incredible weekend of horse racing betting. After some fairly big upsets at the Cheltenham Festival, things settled down a bit on the weekend.
On Saturday there was jump action (sponsored by Paddy Power) at Kempton, and there was also a big meeting at Uttoxeter for the Midland National day on Saturday.
A Paddy Power punter played a £1 each-way acca on four races from the meets.
Kicking things off in the wager was a 5/2 success for McFabulous at Kempton. that meant that the other three horses in the bet just needed to place to at least return something.
However, Our Power, trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies collected a win at 11/1 in the second leg of the acca for the punter. It got even better when Delire D’Estruval crossed the line first at a massive 25/1 quote.
That had already left the bet in an amazing position and the last leg of the acca rested on the performance of Truckers Lodge.
Again, a place finish would have done, but for the punter, who is from Kent, Truckers Lodge stormed home for an 18 length win at 6/1
That left the punter with a return of £7,707.00 off a £2 stake.
