A Paddy Power punter pulled off a remarkable wager on the weekend. The wager was a boldly optimistic 8-fold acca of only drawn outcomes in football matches.
The bet had been placed with a £1 stake.
After all eight draws (that’s right, eight draws) came up on the bet, the punter collected almost £20k in winnings.
The selections were from up and down the English football tiers and it was nothing short of remarkable.
The selections in the winning bet were:
Newcastle v Burnley at 21/10
Cardiff v Brentford at 23/10
QPR v Birmingham at 23/10
Burton v Peterborough at 23/10
Rotherham v MK Dons at 16/5
Exeter v Crawley at 13/5
Morecambe v Crewe at 12/5
Port Vale v Scunthorpe at 12/5
Within the bet there were a few late equalisers that paid dividends. Brennan Dickenson netted a late one for Exeter against Crawley, as did Scott Hogan for Birmingham at QPR in the Championship.
The last of the lost was a 90th-minute equaliser by Geroge Miller for Scunthorpe at Port Vale which sealed the win for the punter.
Again, that was an outragerous eight draws from eight selections that collected £19,172.42.
