QPR v Fulham Betting Preview – Championship 29th September 7.45pm

This is a really interesting Friday night fixture from the Championship because it is probably going to be really evenly matched. QPR have put together unbeaten form on home soil this season in the Championship, but Fulham have been a tough bunch to get the better of so far and they have already held their own against some of the better sides in the division in their fixtures so far. So this should be a pretty tight battle for three points and it is the Cottagers who go into the game just the one point better off than QPR are in the standings.

QPR v Fulham Betting Tips

QPR will be defending their unbeaten home for this season in the league, having collected a W3 D2 record form their five played so far. They have drawn their last two outings at Loftus Road though. They have managed to score exactly two goals in four of their five league home fixtures this term, with the other one being a 0-0 draw played out against Burton. So it hasn’t been bad for them really and over 2.5 goals at Coral for this one returns a price of 8/11. 60% of QPR’s home games in the second tier this season have gone over 2.5 goals and both teams have scored in the same percentage of matches as well at Loftus Road. Both teams to score at Coral in this one is a price of 4/7. There are major defensive concerns about QPR though because they have picked up just the one clean sheet this season in their nine league endeavours. Jamie Mackie and Matt Smith are joint top scorers for them this season in the league with three each and they are a quote of 21/10 and 12/5 respectively in the anytime goalscorer market. They need just a little more potency from someone up front on a consistent basis.

Last season this corresponding fixture produced a 1-1 draw between them and QPR have won just one of their last four on home soil against Fulham (D1 L2). So they could be a little vulnerable here. Fulham bagged a 3-1 win at Notts Forest in midweek and that takes them onto a decent W2 D2 L1 record away from home in the Championship this season. There has been a clean sheet in two of their five games so far away from Craven Cottage. Notably, this season they have taken draws against both Cardiff and Leeds, the current top two in the division, so have shown some resilience against good sides. They are running in W3 D2 L1 current form, so they aren’t in bad shape, but they haven’t hit the goalscoring heights of last season. No-one has really been a consistent threat for them going forward and Aboubakar Kamkar goes as the 6/4 outright favourite in the Coral anytime goalscorer market. Fulham have gone W5 D1 L2 against Rangers in their last eight league meetings and have netted in each of their last four at Loftus Road. In the Coral correct score market, a Fulham 2-1 wager is having appeal at 8/1 but this should be a fairly tight contest.

QPR v Fulham Predictions

Draw: This really has a draw written all over it. Fulham have drawn a lot of games this season and so too have QPR. Rangers are defending unbeaten form, but Fulham are solid enough to go out on on the road and avoid defeat. A share of the spoils looks likely and the 1-1 draw has appeal.
