QPR News and Form

QPR have fallen out of form recently. In the last round of the FA Cup, they took a home win over Portsmouth and that remains their only victory in their last seven played in all competitions. That victory too has seen the only clean sheet that they have produced in their last nine as well. While they needed a replay to get past League One side Pompey in the last round, QPR opened with an upset in beating then-Championship leaders Leeds.

While they aren’t running particularly hot, their home form at Loftus Road isn’t bad. The R’s have won four of their last seven on home turf (D1 L2). Those two losses though were both inside their last three home games. QPR have shipped at least three goals in each of their last three home defeats. QPR have only failed to score in one of their last twelve home games in all competitions so do pose a threat going forward.

Key-Facts – QPR v Watford

  • Watford have conceded in just one of their last five
  • QPR have scored in 11 of their last 12 at home
  • Watford won both FA Cup matches this season 2-0 away

Watford News and Form

Watford look pretty stable at the moment and are ticking over nicely. Watford have only suffered one loss in their last nine games across all competitions. There was a narrow one-goal margin loss away at Spurs in the Premier League. The Hornets do actually have a nice bit of away form behind them. They have gone W4 D3 L1 in their last eight away from Vicarage Road in all competitions.

In their last away game, they played out a league 0-0 draw at Brighton, snapping a seven-match scoring streak in away games that they were on. Watford have so far, taken back to back 2-0 away wins in this season’s FA Cup. The first of those was at Woking, the other at Newcastle. The Hornets have four clean sheets in their last five games. Andre Gray has scored two of their last four goals.

QPR v Watford Predictions

Watford to win: If QPR’s recent form was better there would be a bigger hint of an upset. We see them getting on the scoresheet, but ultimately have to back Watford to prevail.
