Queens Park Rangers vs Preston North End Betting Tips – EFL Championship, 7th December 15.00pm

Mark Warburton’s Queens Park Rangers and Alex Neil’s Preston North End lock horns in an EFL Championship fixture at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Saturday. Rangers will be looking for their first win in eight, while North End head to London having lost their last three. Being the hosts, QPR are the slight favourites in this one.

Queens Park Rangers News and Form – First win in eight for QPR?

Mark Warburton’s Queens Park Rangers have been in poor form over the last six weeks or so. After winning back-to-back games against Blackburn Rovers and Hull City, the London side have failed to win any of their following seven (four defeats, three draws). In fact, those two wins are their only victories in 11.

QPR have won just one of their last six at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. After an excellent 4-2 win over Blackburn in early October, Warburton’s side have taken just two points from a possible 12 on home turf. In their previous home match, QPR were thumped 4-0 by Nottingham Forest.

Queens Park Rangers have slipped down to 16th place after a horrendous run of results. Nonetheless, can they restore some pride by picking up a vital home win on Saturday?

Queens Park Rangers vs Preston North End Head to Head

North End have won each of the last six meetings

Preston are unbeaten in the last nine (six wins, three draws)

QPR have not beaten North End in over nine years

Key-Facts – Queens Park Rangers vs Preston North End

  • QPR have failed to win any of their last seven games
  • Preston have lost three on the bounce
  • Rangers’ last home victory came over two months ago

Preston North End News and Form – Can the Lilywhites avoid a fourth consecutive defeat?

Alex Neil’s Preston North End were flying high in the table not so long ago, but three successive defeats have seen them drop down to sixth. Over the last couple of weeks, Derby County, Hull City and West Bromwich Albion have all beaten them, with North End failing to score in any of those.

Preston boast the best home record in the league, picking up an impressive 23 points from a possible 30. Last Monday’s loss to West Brom was their first league reverse at Deepdale this term. However, North End have won just two of nine on the road in this season’s Championship, losing five along the way.

Preston really need to get back on track after three successive losses without scoring. Having lost three of their previous four on the road, can Neil’s troops claim a rare away victory at the weekend?

Queens Park Rangers vs Preston North End Predictions

Draw: Both sides could really do with the points in west London this weekend. The pair spent the start of the season in and around the top six, but both have started to slip down the Championship table. Still, North End remain in the play-off places, while QPR are down in a lowly 16th.

This could go either way at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium, but my money is going on the draw. The stalemate is available at 13/5.

QPR battled to a 1-1 draw at Derby County last time out, with the talented Eberechi Eze getting their goal from the penalty spot. Preston have failed to score in their last three, but three of their four league draws have ended 1-1. The 1-1 draw on Saturday is priced at 6/1.
