It is a W2 D1 L1 record that Romania have taken at the start of their Euro 2010 campaign. It all kicked off with a defeat against Sweden, which was a big blow because it is Sweden and Norway that Romania are battling with to try and finish second to Spain. Romania did recover to record expected victories over the Faroe Islands and Malta, scoring four goals in each victory. Sandwiched between those wins was a 2-2 draw against Norway.

The Romanians have taken three wins in their last five internationals (D1 L1). They also have some very good home form in European Championship qualifiers behind them. The last time that they lost a home qualifier was a 5-2 defeat against Denmark back in 2013. Since then Romania are undefeated in 19 such fixtures, so that’s very strong form.
