Diamond Jubilee Stakes History

The Diamond Jubilee Stakes is traditionally the third race in the QIPCO British Champions Series Sprint category.
Renamed in 2012 in honour of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, it is always run on the last day of the Royal Meeting.
First run in 1868 and originally known as the Cork and Orrery Stakes, the race was upgraded to Group 1 status and renamed to mark The Queen’s Golden Jubilee in 2002 before taking on its new title in 2012. It is a 6f Group 1 race run over 6f and open to three-year-olds and older horses.

Diamond Jubilee Stakes Predictions

Sceptical comes over from Ireland having won his last four races.
However, he didn’t make his debut on Turf until 12 days ago and that was on a fasy surface and over a shorter distance in much less exalted company.
Denis Hogan is to be commended for letting his charge take his chance in a race like this but he is probably flattered by his official rating and there are plenty of reason why the 11/4 available with Betvictor is no value.
The mare One Master has no problems dropping back to 6f in the British Champions Sprint Stakes at Ascot in October, finishing second.
The soft going is a major plus for William Haggas’ six-year-old (5/1 with Paddy Power), who was a Group 1 winner in the Prix de la Foret at Longchamp in the autumn but she does tend to do best at that time of year.
HELLO YOUMZAIN was behind One Master and Speak In Colours on his final start last year but ahead of Khaadem and The Tin Man.
He was hampered in the closing stages, however, and it’s also possible that Kevin Ryan’s colt had had enough for the season.
He’d earlier shown his true worth when winning the Sprint Cup at Haydock on soft going, beating The Tin Man, Dream Of Dreams and Khaadem, and a repeat of that form would make him the one to beat at 4/1 with Betvictor.
