Royal Ascot 16:10 Racing Odds and Tips June 17 – Heights could sprint to Victory at 14/1 with Betvictor

Victory hoping to scale the Heights in Windsor Castle

It’s going to be next to impossible to evaluate the form going into the two-year-old races at Royal Ascot this year.
For example, in Wednesday’s Windsor Castle Stakes not a single one of 20 declared runners has raced more than once so a degree of guesswork will be involved, though there may be some clues in past trends of the 5f Listed sprint.

Windsor Castle Stakes History and Trends

The Windsor Castle Stakes is normally the last race to be run on the Wednesday of Royal ascot but these are not normal times.
Past winners have gone on to run in Group races later in the year but the form is not normally as strong as, for example, the Coventry Stakes.
First run in 1879, it is always a bit of a lottery with big fields spread across the width of the Straight Course so it pays to take a close look at any draw advantage being evidenced in previous races at the meeting.

  • Only two fillies in the last 12 years have managed to reach the frame
  • Seven of the last 12 winners have started at odds of 12/1 or bigger
  • Eight of the last 12 winners started in stall 13 or higher
  • All of the last 12 winners were placed fourth or better in their previous run

Windsor Castle Stakes Predictions

The big negative surrounding current favourite Chief Little Hawk (a general 9/2) is that he was a May foal and this almost always goes to one born earlier in the year but he did beat stablemate Hyde Park Barracks (a general 16/1) at Navan last week.
Frankie Dettori has chosen the filly Sunshine City (11/2) with Betvictor), a winner at Gulfstream Park, ahead of stable companion Sheriff Bianco (8/1 with Ladbrokes) but Oisin Murphy rides the Churchill Downs runner-up so he is not necessarily the second string of Wesley Ward’s stable.
Get It (12/1 with Bet365) and Tactical (8/1 with Bet365) finished second and third behind Eye Of Heaven at Newmarket and the The Queen’s colt may have the better of the draw today.
Muker (a general 25/1) had Fools Rush In (available at 33/1) back in third when scoring at Newcastle but neither the second nor the fourth have franked the form.
VICTORY HEIGHTS won at Newcastle despite showing signs of inexperience so the 14/1 with Betvictor could be a bit of value in a wide-open renewal.

Terms and Conditions
What you need to do
Opt-In to this promotion.
Place your first bet of £5 or more at odds of evens (2.00) or greater.
You must do this within 7 days of registering an account.

What you get
On placement of your qualifying bet:
£10 Free Bet – Any Sport or Virtual Sports Single Bet (odds 2.0 or greater);
£10 Free Bet – Any Sports or Virtual Sports Acca (3+ selections).

All of which:
can be used on any markets unless stated in the restrictions;
can be used as one whole bet or as a number of smaller bets;
will only return profit exceeding your total stake;
must be placed separately from real cash bets; and
will expire 7 days after accreditation if not used.

And, a £10 Casino Bonus, which can be used on any of our games on our Casino except for Baccarat (all versions);
are subject to wagering requirements (see Wagering Requirements below); and
will expire after 7 days if not used or wagered.

Wagering Requirements
Sports – There are no wagering requirements.
Casino – You need to wager the bonus amount 35 times before you can withdraw any winnings (i.e. £10 x 35 = £350 of wagering).
For example, if you bet £10 and win £15, then bet £10 again and win £10, you have wagered £20 (£10 bet + £10 bet) but you have won £25 (£15 + £10).
So if you need to wager a total of £350, whatever you have left in your bonus balance after you have completed the wagering will turn into real cash and can be withdrawn.
Please note that for some types of games, the percentage contribution towards the amount you have to wager may be different, as follows:
Slots / Scratchcards / Numbers Games -100% (£10 bet = £10 wagered);
Roulette / Table Games / Video Poker – 20% (£10 bet = £2 wagered);
Blackjack / Craps – 10% (£10 bet = £1 wagered);
Baccarat (all versions) – 0% (£10 bet = 0 wagered).
If you have more than one casino bonus, any wagering must be completed one offer at a time and will begin with the first offer awarded. Once this is completed, wagering on the next bonus can be triggered.
