FAV in Coronation Stakes Odds
Lining up as the current narrow favourite in Coronation Stakes odds is MOTHER EARTH at 4/1* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at William Hill).
The form backs up her claims of course. On her reappearance run, she landed the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket for Aidan O’Brien.
She wasn’t far away from making it two from two for the season either.
Mother Earth found only one too good on the day in the French 1000 Guineas on her follow up, which was 33 days ago.
Another big run is expected from her as she moves on to Royal Ascot. This is a good testing contest and she carries a ton of respect for this one.
Pretty Gorgeous to make a big show
There are also very strong claims from PRETTY GORGEOUS in what is a good-looking Coronation Stakes field.
She was due to go in the 1000 Guineas but pulled out because of illness there. So her reappearance was 26 days ago in the Irish 1000 Guineas.
It was a seventh-place finish for Pretty Gorgeous in that one, but she will be a lot fitter for having had the effort.
Pretty Gorgeous shaped well in the contest and she went very well for a long way. She was behind the opposing EMPRESS JOSEPHINE in that one.

Empress Josephine to rule at Royal Ascot?
There is enough in the form of EMPRESS JOSEPHINE to suggest that she is going to be in the thick of things on Friday.
She has won two of four appearances so far, including the Irish 1000 Guineas. She got up late in that one to produce the win.
The conditions are going to be quicker for her at Royal Ascot. But we think that just pushes her chances forward further.

She had the beating of Pretty Gorgeous in the Irish 1000 Guineas but opposes that rival again from a worse draw in the stalls.

Alcohol Free to run for the places?
ALCOHOL FREE has a little something to find based on form. But Andrew Balding’s filly does have decent place claims.
For Coronation Stakes betting she is a quote of 11/1 to pull out the win* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on April 27th, 2021 at William Hill).
Alcohol Free collected a win on her reappearance for the season. She then went to the 1000 Guineas where she claimed fifth place.
That race was won by Mother Earth and we think that Alcohol Free will have a hard time overturning that form.
However, she has been a generally positive progressive filly and place claims are definitely on the radar.
Novemba brings winning form
There was a winning form for NOVEMBA last time out as she claimed the win in the German 1000 Guineas.
That was a fantastic performance from her as well, getting the victory over Sky Angel on the 1m trip.
With that Group 2 win under her belt, it suggests that further progress is likely. Novemba comes in match-fit like most of the field, having only run 19 days ago.
Notably, that form to score the German 1000 Guineas blew away all previous form that she had produced.
The style in which it was recorded was good enough to see her make the long trip to Royal Ascot.

The Rest of the Runners
FEV ROVER was going well as a juvenile and there was plenty of promise for her in the 1000 Guineas. She took third in that Newmarket contest and was never afforded a clean run in the Irish 1000 Guineas on a follow-up. Place claims are reasonable.
FLIRTING BRIDGE was second in the 1000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown in May on her latest run. She looks to have an awful lot to find in this very strong contest.
LULLABY MOON won three of five starts as a juvenile and one of those was a Group 3 at Chantilly. Her reappearance a month ago in France was very poor and threw a spanner in the works.
OODNADATTA has been away for seven months. That last run was in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf and she was a long way down the field.
POTAPOVA is unexposed with only two runs under her belt. The most recent of those was at Redcar a month ago and it was a comfortable score. She comes up in grade and retains a lot of potential.
PRIMO BACIO comes up in class, but she may not be out of the running for the places. She looked very good to score at the Listed fixture at York a month ago.
SHALE was flying as a juvenile. There could be more to come from her as well after having a reappearance under her belt. She looked as if she needed it so there could be more to come.
SNOW LANTERN was third behind Primo Bacio in a Listed York run last time. She didn’t look at her best in that one but has further potential on her side.
Predictions & Tips for Coronation Stakes Racing Odds
