We arrive at the first day of Royal Ascot racing tips 2021 as the famous Festival kicks into high gear immediately.

Royal Ascot Racing Tip

Top one-miler PALACE PIER is the strong 4/9 favourite in Royal Ascot odds* (betting odds recorded 19:00 GMT on June 14th 2021 at Paddy Power).

He has hit the ground running again for John Gosden this season, winning two from two in the campaign.

Palace Pier should easily have this in his scope and he was a Festival winner last season, scoring the St James’s Palace (Group 2).

This season has won impressively at Sandown (Group 2) and then up at Group 1 when he took the Lockinge at Newbury a month ago.

Palace Pier just oozes class and ability and looking down the rest of the card, we don’t see enough anywhere to beat him.

In terms of place favourites, LOPE Y FERNANDES may be considered to bounce back after a poor one at the Lockinge.

The quicker surface will help, while the form of ORDER OF AUSTRALIA puts him on the radar.

There appears to be quite a few with some solid claims for this one, and plenty arrive in winning form.

GISBURN picked up a win a month ago on his second racetrack appearance. That was a score at Newbury which came by more than six lengths.

There was excellent pace there as the clock will attest to and that firmly puts him on the list as a 6/1 contender* (betting odds recorded 19:00 GMT on June 14th 2021 at Paddy Power).

Another of the principal players is likely to be KAUFYMAKER who will be looking to build on a winning debut. Her victory came by a wide margin at Keeneland and gets the blinkers on for the first time.

Rival Gisburn looks the more likely to stay over the 6f trip, however. But Kaufymker arrives with a good reputation and should feature for the places.

THE ACROPOLIS is another to watch in Royal Ascot betting as he scored at Listowel 9 days ago after a very good debut at the Curragh in which he was rode with consideration to take fourth.

We move on to the Group 1 King’s Stand for Royal Ascot betting 2021 to look at the chances of BATTAASH continuing some top form.

First things first, Battaash has a good record of running fresh. That’s a good, important thing as he hasn’t run for just shy of 300 days.

Victory went to Battaash in last year’s King’s Stand on what was his reappearance. It was a fantastic summer for him in 2020.

He followed up the Royal Ascot win by taking the King George at Goodwood and then the Nunthorpe at York.

We aren’t sure that the lineup for the King’s Stand in Royal Ascot odds for 2021 is as strong as last year’s.

The principal threat is likely to be WINTER POWER who is match fit after winning a reappearance in a Listed event at York a month ago.

She went superbly well from the front with the tongue-tie on to score there, another marked step forward in progress. Winter Power keeps the equipment on for Tuesday’s run.

Son of American Pharaoh MAVEN may be worth e/w considerations from 14/1* (betting odds recorded 19:00 GMT on June 14th 2021 at Paddy Power).

Maven scored readily at Keeneland a couple of months ago and may well arrive in good heart for Royal Ascot 2021.

POETIC FLARE certainly brings big claims to the table as a 7/2 option in Royal Ascot betting* (betting odds recorded 19:00 GMT on June 14th 2021 at Paddy Power).

He is a good, likeable sort and strong as well. The 2000 Guineas winner at Newmarket has claimed two wins this season. He was last seen at the Irish 2000 Guineas taking a runner-up spot.

The form certainly backs up the chances of Poetic Flare as he has rolled on from one big contest to another since scoring at Newmarket.

LUCKY VEGA may not be too far away in this one. He won at the Curragh a year ago at Group 1 so has this in his scope.

There was a good third from Lucky Vega in the 2000 Guineas, and then the ground hampered him a little bit in the Irish Guineas on a follow-up, but his chances can’t be dismissed here from 7/1* (betting odds recorded 19:00 GMT on June 14th 2021 at Paddy Power).

The other shortlist contender for Royal Ascot odds is BATTLEGROUND who was the 2000 Guineas favourite, but things didn’t pan out for him there at all.

A big field and there are a lot of claims. M C MULDOON returns to this level with plenty of appeal after a good time of things over the hurdles.

He warrants some merit and he is a strong, reliable sort for Willie Mullins, which puts him in the frame. The Ryan Moore and Willie Mullins combo has won this three times since 2012.

After 22 months away he returns a month ago over the hurdles and he will be entitled for further progress after that one.

The former won at Newbury on his reappearance and this race looks right in his wheelhouse, so is of big interest. Lucky Deal has a chance despite big odds, as the blinkers go on to sharpen him up.

There is quite a deep field from which to pull a Royal Ascot racing tip. We are pulling towards the reliable FOREST OF DEAN.

He is a quote of 11/2 to score at Royal Ascot on Tuesday and he wouldn’t be winning out of turn either.

It’s been a good consistent season for the John Gosden 5-year-old. There was a score for him in the Lingfield Winter Derby on his penultimate run.

He didn’t quite have the cleanest of runs back there for his latest effort, but still took third place. Forest Of Dean is just as strong and reliable on turf so can take this contest.

BLUE CAP is another to keep on side for this contest. He won impressively at Epsom on his latest run, storming clear to get the success over Victory Chime.

Blue Cup was helped out by the hood for the first time.

The final selection for the shortlist is FELIX who has a chance in this one as he goes well on the turf.

He was sandwiched between Forest of Dean and Father Of Jazz in the Winter Derby to take second place. There was an eye-catching run from Felix on his latest in the Dubai Turf and has a big chance.

He claimed a win in a handicap last time out, which was 71 days ago. That was a much-improved effort from him after being gelded.

That was also the first run for a new yard for SLEEPING LION so has a chance of featuring in this one. There has been a 7lb rise for the 6-year-old, but there now firmly looks as if there is more to come from him.

One of the principal threat in the race is SALDIER who is under a 4lb penalty. He scored easily at Listowel 9 days ago to warm up for this. That was his first run on the flat for 4 years.

He has a chance in what is a strong handicap, while ON TO VICTORY has a chance of something here after a good second place on a reappearance three weeks ago in a Listed effort at Goodwood.
