It is round twelve action from the Premiership and it starts on Friday night. Saracens make the trip to the AJ Bell Stadium looking to improve their great form against the Sharks. This should be a great encounter on Friday night. When the two met back on November 17th, it was Saracens who came out on top 31-25 in a fantastic contest. Saracens closed the gap on league leaders Exeter Chiefs last time out as they fought back from being down at halftime against the struggling Worcester. But they got the job done to avoid a shock defeat.
This will be a big game for Saracens too as they get back England star Billy Vunipola after his broken arm. That’s good news for England ahead of the 2019 Six Nations. Saracens lost their last league away game as they went down at Exeter in a top-two clash. The last time that they suffered consecutive away defeats in the Premiership was all the way back in 2019. That is their only defeat in their last 18 league games.
Sale strong at home
Sale though have been in beast mode on home soil this season. They have only lost one home fixture this season, which was against Wasps back in round four. So it’s been very solid stiff from them. They currently sit in mid-table and they are three points off the top four at the moment. They got themselves a great win over third-placed Gloucester in their most recent match.
Their current form is pretty solid as they have lost just one of their last six Premiership games. That lone defeat in the sequence though? Yes, that loss against the Saracens back in November. Sale have also found Saracens to be a bit of a bogey side in the Premiership. Sale have only won one league game against Saracens in the league eighth seasons. That lone win for them did come on home soil, back in 2015.

We can see a tight scrap playing out in this one and that is because Sale are strong at home. Ultimately Saracens should win this, but not without a severe test.
