Wasps secured their first win of the new season last weekend as they got the better of Bath on home soild. Sale opened the season on home soil but were toppled by two-points in a tight scrap with Gloucester. After a thumping win at London Irish, they stayed out on the road last weekend and were taken down by Bristol at Ashton Gate. So the Sharks will be looking for their first home win of the season and trying to get some consistency going. Sale lost at home against Wasps back towards the end of September, a heavy 13-31 defeat. Twice this season already Sale have failed to make it to 20 points in a league game.

Wasps had a rough start to the season losing back to back games against London Irish and then Gloucester. That put them on the back foot immediately, especially as they had conceded more than 25 points in each of those defeats. But then they got their breakthrough last weekend as they posted a 30-22 win over Bath on home soil. But in that one away game out at Gloucester, they really struggled to get any kind of a foothold in the game, managing only nine points. Wasps have lost three of their four away games in the Gallagher Premiership.

As Sale have not been explosive on the scoreboard this season it may be worth expecting a tight margin in this game. The notable factor here is that the Sharks pushed Gloucester close and then beat Irish. Wasps were beaten by both of them. So the home win should crop up, but back Wasps to hold to within 10 points.
