The big one of Saturday’s UK horse racing betting is the Tolworth Novices’ Hurdle from Sandown.

There are six declared runners for this Grade 1, 2m trip but out of those, there is a clear and commanding market leader in the form of Constitution Hill.

Can he be beaten? We look at his chances in our Tolworth Novices’ Hurdle racing preview for Saturday.

Constitution Hill 1/3

Jeotile 16/1

Constitution Hill 1/3 FAV in Tolworth Novices’ Hurdle Racing Odds

There is no question about the favourite in Tolworth horse racing betting for Saturday.

We have a 1/3 odds-on favourite in the form of Constitution Hill* (odds recorded at 21:19 GMT on January 7th, 2021 at Coral).

He showed a lot of promise in a bumper for his debut, but then went even bigger on his hurdles debut last month.

In that first run under rules, Constitution Hill claimed a very impressive course and distance win. It was quite a warm race too.

So Nicky Henderson’s gelding is expected to improve in spades for this next one.

Constitution Hill finished the job here at Sandown five weeks ago with an impressive turn of speed to finish.

MR GLASS
12/1

Can Mr Glass upset the odds?

Another that has to be highly respected for this contest is the constantly improving Mr Glass who is bang in form.

Mr Glass completed a four-timer last time out when he took a win in a Newcastle novice 42 days ago.

That success for him was in a Chepstow maiden, so Mr Glass has been thriving so far in novice hurdling.

Can he kick it on and get his nose in front?

He will face a different challenge in this one on Saturday, as the Tolworth means that he is taking a drop in distance.

But there is no reason why this extra test of stamina will throw him off his game.

Mr Glass is a potential threat from 12/1 in horse racing betting* (odds recorded at 21:19 GMT on January 7th, 2021 at Coral).

Shallwehaveonemore not to be dismissed

This race is probably going to pan out to be a big test of stamina, and if it is, then Shallwehaveonemore could be well suited to the challenge.

He will be making just his third appearance after making a winning start in a bumper at Kempton in March last year.

Then he followed that up with a runner up spot at Ascot on his hurdles debut 70 days ago.

Shallwehaveonemore has since seen the form from that Ascot race franked and there should be further progress made by the five-year-old.

Shallwehaveonemore is currently lining up as the 7/1 second-favourite in Tolworth racing betting* (odds recorded at 21:19 GMT on January 7th, 2021 at Coral).

Jetoile looks for a hattrick

There has been pretty sharp form from JETOILE who will arrive at Sandown on Saturday seeking a hattrick.

His form since switching to the hurdles has seen him come on leaps and bounds.

It’s left behind some pretty average Irish points results anyway.

To get off the mark over the hurdles, Jetoile landed a Chesptow maiden and he made all in that contest. The follow up was at Leicester three weeks ago.

Jetoile is no forlorn hope with place claims from 16/1* (odds recorded at 21:19 GMT on January 7th, 2021 at Coral).

Data Alright Gino is interesting at the higher level

There has been nothing wrong with the progress that Datsalright has made this season either.

This is arguably a tougher challenge for him.

Datsalrightgino is coming up to a higher level, but connections are probably right to try him at this because he has been showing potential.

It’s two from two over the hurdles for him so far, scoring novice event wins at Fontwell and Cheltenham.

It will be very interesting to see what he has in him at 16/1* (odds recorded at 21:19 GMT on January 7th, 2021 at Coral).

Whizz Kid with a big ask on his debut

Bringing up the field for Tolworth racing betting is Whizz Kid who was fairly useful on the flat.

He gets the tongue strap on for the first time in this one as he has the first run for a new yard, which will also be his first effort under rules.

Whizz Kid may well have potential but this is a tough ask for him right out of the gate in the sphere.

It’s a 50/1 quote in horse racing betting for him* (odds recorded at 21:19 GMT on January 7th, 2021 at Coral).

Predictions & Tips for Tolworth Novices’ Hurdle Racing Odds

This is a deeper field than the way that the horse racing betting market is lining up for the Tolworth on Saturday.

The first pick is MR GLASS even though there is a slight question about his performance on a shorter trip. But an emphasis on stamina makes him very interesting at 12/1 e/w* (odds recorded at 21:19 GMT on January 7th, 2021 at Coral).

SHALLWEHAVEONEMORE is rapidly heading in the right direction and he can’t be dismissed at all from storming this field.

Then there’s CONSTITUTION HILL the final one for the shortlist.

That win at course and distance on his hurdles debut clearly makes him a threat. Can he back it up though?
