Dragon Symbol the 10/3 FAV in Sandy Lane Stakes Odds

There is a clear front runner in Sandy Lane Stakes Odds for Saturday. That is DRAGON SYMBOL at 10/3* (odds recorded at 19:10 GMT on May 21st, 2021 at Ladbrokes).

It is a little hard to argue with that as he is undefeated in four racetrack appearances in his career.

He sticks with the same jockey, Adam McNamara who guided him to success at Hamilton three weeks ago for his latest win.

That was a conditions event win for Dragon Symbol who just looks on a huge positive trajectory.

Dragon Symbol has dominated all that he has been up against so far.

He does line up for his toughest challenge yet, but if he picks up where he left off, he’s going to be hard to stop.

Stepping up in grade shouldn’t phase him at all and he looks a high-quality sprinter all of the way.

The Lir Jet to be the biggest threat to the favourite?

We would have to strongly consider the challenge of THE LIR JET at 15/2 for Sandy Lane Stakes* (odds recorded at 19:10 GMT on May 21st, 2021 at Ladbrokes).

He was supposed to be engaged in France recently, but connections sidestepped the contest to focus him on this one.

That was after a positive third-place finish in the Greenham Stakes at Newbury on his reappearance run. The Lir Jet never really settled to his fluent best in that contest either.

So there could be better to come. There were some highlights from him last season as he claimed the Norfolk Stakes win at Royal Ascot as a 2-year-old.

That recent Greenham effort saw him deliver some clear progression, so he has a big chance of being the one to head up the dangers of the favourite.

Mujbar not to be written off

MUJBAR opened the season with an eighth-place finish in the Greenham Stakes. He was just well held there on a slightly disappointing run.

But he does look to have more about him and perhaps needed that reappearance under his belt. He’s not to be totally written off in this one and the Greenham effort was after a six-week break.

Back in October Mujbar showed more of what he was about by winning the Horris Hill. That was one of two wins that he recorded in the previous campaign.

Mujbar looks capable and is being well respected in the market at the moment at the 7/1 quote in Sandy Lane Stakes odds* (odds recorded at 19:10 GMT on May 21st, 2021 at Ladbrokes)

Method brings solid claims

17/2 shot METHOD has some claims in the Sandy Lane Stakes odds* (odds recorded at 19:10 GMT on May 21st, 2021 at Ladbrokes).

As a juvenile he won his first two starts, looking like a really smart sprinter on both of those occasions.

On his final run of the previous campaign, he was sent to a Group 3 contest at Newmarket. He claimed second there.

Method wasn’t suited to the drop in trip nor the conditions underfoot on the day in that one but still managed a very credible effort.

This looks like being more in his wheelhouse and has plenty to offer in this 2021 season as a 3-year-old.

Rohaan to be respected in Sandy Lane Stakes

Another with some pretty decent claims, like a lot of this field, is ROHAAN at 10/1* (odds recorded at 19:10 GMT on May 21st, 2021 at Ladbrokes).

He is on the upward swing of progress at the moment and enters on the back of a win. So Rohaan is carrying some form.

That latest score for him was at the Pavilion Stakes at Ascot on a 6f trip as well, just over three weeks ago.

Rohaan won four times over the winter and has scored in two of his last three.

He is massively progressive and wouldn’t be winning out of turn if he was to spring the score on Saturday.

The Rest Of The Runners

ISABELLA GILES takes on the opposite sex for the first time in her career and warrants respect. She has had a couple of efforts under her belt this season.

Isabella Giles will be stronger for the drop in trip after finding the Chartwell Stakes at Lingfield a little too much for her stamina limit last time out. She won four times last year.

SAINT LAWRENCE is sharp as well having claimed back to back second-place finishes this season.

The latest of those was behind winner Rohaan in the Pavilion Stakes at Ascot. He couldn’t hold off the challenger in that one. The headgear now goes on.

APOLLO ONE opened the season with a score at Lingfield on a 7f trip. He hasn’t been able to follow up in two subsequent efforts though.

He looked a little off his game in a poor Pavilion Stakes effort last time out.

LIGHT REFRAIN returns to action after a win on his reappearance fourteen days ago. That was a good score in a Nottingham listed event, as she thrived in a test of stamina in that one. She has claims for Willie Haggas.

UMM KULTHUM had a slightly disappointing reappearance run, where she was well down the field in the Fred Darling Stakes at Newbury.

She looked as if she needed to get that under her belt though but still could have her work cut out.

Predictions & Tips for Sandy Lane Stakes Racing Odds

This is a fascinating contest and without question, DRAGON SYMBOL looks to be the one to beat.

He is the strong 10/3 favourite for a good reason* (odds recorded at 19:10 GMT on May 21st, 2021 at Ladbrokes).

We think that ROHAAN could have a big say in this. He arrives after a very good win in the Pavilion Stakes.

He looks to be one of the most progressive runners in this field and warrants respect from 10/1* (odds recorded at 19:10 GMT on May 21st, 2021 at Ladbrokes).

The other pick will have to be THE LIR JET from 15/2* (odds recorded at 19:10 GMT on May 21st, 2021 at Ladbrokes).

He passed on a run in France for a shot at this, so connections clearly think that he has a big chance in this one. The Lir Jet arrives after a good strong Greenham Stakes effort.
