Sheffield Wednesday News and Form – Can the Owls get back on track?
Wednesday have certainly been heading in the right direction since Garry Monk arrived at Hillsborough. Last weekend’s loss at Ewood Park was only Sheffield Wednesday’s second defeat under their new boss.
Jacob Murphy’s 83rd-minute goal at Blackburn last week looked to have given the Owls an impressive away win. However, Wednesday fell apart with just a couple of minutes to go, conceding two late goals to leave Lancashire with zero points.
Sheffield Wednesday have lost just one home game in the league at Hillsborough this season. Since that defeat to Queens Park Rangers back in August, the Owls are unbeaten in four Championship matches on home soil, winning two and drawing two. In their last home outing, Monk’s men held high flying Leeds to a goalless draw.
After last weekend’s gut-wrenching defeat, Sheffield Wednesday will be desperate to hit back with a home win on Saturday. Will the Owls swoop to all three points?

Swansea City News and Form – Swans to preserve unbeaten away record?
Steve Cooper’s Swansea City are the only team in the Championship yet to lose away from home this season. The Swans have won four and drawn three of seven matches on the road, with only league leaders West Bromwich Albion picking up more away points (17) thus far.
Since crashing to a heavy 3-0 home loss to Brentford last month, Swansea have won two in a row. The Welsh outfit beat rivals Cardiff City 1-0 at the Liberty Stadium before seeing off Wigan Athletic 2-1 at the DW Stadium last weekend.
Cooper has made a strong start to life in the Liberty dugout, with the Swans sitting pretty in fourth position at the moment. Ahead of this round of fixtures, City are just two points behind the league leaders.

Sheffield Wednesday vs Swansea City Predictions
Draw: Sheffield Wednesday have been pretty solid on home soil this season, with only QPR leaving Hillsborough with maximum points. The Owls, who sit seventh in the table, have won four, drawn two and lost one of seven home league matches.
As I mentioned, Swansea have been very hard to beat on their travels this season. The Welsh club have won four and drawn three of seven on the road, picking up an impressive 15 points from a possible 21.
On paper, Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea are two very well matched sides. Only four points separate the pair in the table, I can see them cancelling each other out in Sheffield on Saturday – back the draw at 12/5. Meanwhile, there’s excellent value in bet365’s 11/2 for the 1-1 draw.
