Ferrari are on the back foot after being humbled by Mercedes in their home Grand Prix at Monza and the pressure is now on the Prancing Horse to deliver in Singapore.

The Marina Bay circuit has been the home of the Singapore Grand Prix since 2008 but there has been motor racing in the sovereign state since 1961. This is a race which Ferrari will have been targeting and it’s been a happy hunting ground for their number one driver Sebastian Vettel. The German, championship leader prior to Monza, has won at Marina Bay in four of the last six years. However, Mercedes were successful in 2014, through Lewis Hamilton, and last year when Nico Rosberg was first past the chequered flag.

The Scuderia will be desperate to wrest the advantage back from Mercedes as Vettel has seen a big advantage over Hamilton in the Drivers’ Championship erased either side of the mid-season break. Ferrari boss Sergio Marchionne described his team’s performance at Monza as “embarrassing” but the Italians have held the edge on high downforce circuits so far this season and Sebastian Vettel arrives at Marina Bay as the man to beat with Stan James putting their heads above the parapet and offering 13/8 that the German driver re-ignites his title challenge.

Stan James is one of the leading multi-lingual, multi-national bookmakers in the world and are better known for their exceptional online bet offers and they are always welcoming new customers. You won’t have any problems finding the betting market which they are looking for at Stan James. From the highly popular global coverage of football, to the WTA and ATP Tennis Tours, to PGA Golf, cricket, darts and of course, horse racing, Stan James has it all covered.

There is one concern with betting on Vettel to win in Singapore.¬†His 2015 win¬†at Marina Bay¬†remains Ferrari’s only victory after July since 2010.¬†They’ve slipped 62 points behind Mercedes in the Constructors’ Championship and have only won one race win since May. Mercedes did fare better against Ferrari at the Hungaroring in July but still have plenty to prove on circuits like Marina Bay and Lewis Hamilton may not be much value at a best 15/8. Daniel Ricciardo is a general 8/1.

At the same odds, MAX VERSTAPPEN makes more appeal, however, His team, Red Bull, have finished second at Marina Bay in the past three years having been victorious the three years before and they regard Singapore as their best chance of a victory in the second half of the year.
