It was a 1-1 draw for Southampton last weekend out at Wolves. That is the only point that the Saints have collected in their last four games. They are holding a W2 D2 L5 record for this campaign and they are still on the hunt for their first home win. They have posted a D1 L3 record at home this season and have suffered back-to -back losses there. Southampton have conceded seven goals in their last two home games (losses against Bournemouth and Chelsea).

Leicester News and Form – Can Foxes win at Southampton?

It has been a good campaign from Leicester who are starting the weekend again as a top four side. They fought back from being a goal down at home to take a 2-1 win over Burnley last weekend. Leicester have enjoyed most of their successes this season at the King Power. Out on the road they are only W1 D1 L2. The losses in that sequence have been in their last two away games, fixtures at Manchester United and Liverpool. Both losses there by Leicester were by a one-goal margin.

Leicester have scored at an average of a goal per game and they have not picked up a clean sheet on their travels. The Foxes have been losing at half time in three of their four away games in this campaign. Their last four games this season (home and away) have gone over 2.5 goals. Six of their last seven in the division have also done so.

Of the goals that Leicester have scored this season, two thirds have come in the second period of fixtures. It has been just the two second half goals that the Foxes have conceded this season and they have opened the scoring in only three fixtures. James Maddison is an injury concern because of an ankle injury picked up last weekend. The Foxes have own their last two visits to Sta Mary’s, can they make it three in a row there?

Leicester to win: There is not likely to be too much between them at the end of the day. However, Leicester have won their last two visits to the south coast and can deliver the goods again. This is another tough early-season home game for the Saints who may just come up short.
