Stockport County News and Form – Can the Hatters secure a much-needed three points?

Stockport County go into Wednesday’s clash in abysmal form. Before drawing with Sutton United last time out, County had lost five National League games in a row. Prior to that run of defeats, Stockport had won five of six.

Jim Gannon’s men have blown hot and cold at Edgeley Park this season. The club from Greater Manchester have won four and lost three of their opening seven National League home games. Since beating Fylde 2-1 on September 3rd, which was their last league win, Stockport have fallen to back-to-back home defeats, losing to Aldershot and Torquay United.

However, they picked up a vital victory at Victoria Park, with goals from Gime Toure and Jason Kennedy giving them a priceless three points, with Kennedy’s winner coming in stoppage time.

The Pools have had a mixed bag of results away from home this season. So far, they have won three, drawn two and lost two of seven away league matches. Along the way, Craig Hignett’s boys have scored six and conceded seven. Last time out on the road, Hartlepool battled to a 1-1 draw at Eastleigh.
