A mega list of 97 entries in standing for the 2020 Irish Grand National was recently announced.
The race is pencilled in for Easter Monday, April 13th at Fairyhouse. Irish racing has so far, pushed ahead but with action behind closed doors because of the coronavirus.
If things are able to carry on in this same manner, then the Irish Grand National, while running and giving bookmakers a huge boost, may still happen.
The lack of general public admission would be a blow to the racecourse and the local community, however.

Tiger Roll entered
Trainer Gordon Elliot saw Tiger Roll’s chances of winning the Aintree Grand National for three straight years denied, with British racing on a total shutdown.
However, Tiger Roll is one of the 97 entries for the 2020 Irish National.
So he could yet be a National winner this season.

If he is left in to compete then he could be lining up against stablemate Delta Work who was fifth in the recent Cheltenham Gold Cup.
Others that Tiger Roll could compete with at Fairyhouse include last year’s Irish National winner Burrows Saint who broke trainer Willie Mullins’ duck in the race, and Magic of Light who Tiger Roll beat into second place in the 2019 running of the Aintree Grand National.
