They have taken a clean sheet in seven of their last nine at St Marys.
Arsenal arrives on a six-match undefeated streak of form in all competitions, winning four of those.
They needed extra time to get past Newcastle in the third round, but they havetightened up in defence as well.
The Gunners haven’t conceded in any of their last five fixtures now.
So this should be a tight game, but we don’t think Southampton can be written off at all.

Football Betting Picks Today: Barnsley v Norwich
The next game in football betting for today features two Championship teams going at it for a place in the fifth round.
Barnsley are the 2/1 underdogs for this one as they take on the Canaries who are one of the promotion favourites in the second tier.
The Tykes are a little patchy with their form and they have lost three of their last four in all competitions.
That run was sparked by a 1-0 defeat at Norwich in the league earlier this month.
But to their credit, at Oakwell, they have won seven of their last nine, including a 2-0 success over Tranmere in the last round of this competition.
Norwich are a handful for anyone though.
The Canaries have won all but two of their last eleven games.
They have shipped just one goal in their last four fixtures in all competitions as well.
We can’t find enough of a wobble from them on the road to not warrant backing them really.
Norwich have gone W6 L2 in their last eight road games. They have failed to score in just one of the last 10.

Football Betting Tips for Today: Millwall v Bristol City
This is another of the FA Cup ties on Saturday that features two Championship teams.
Millwall are the 11/10 favourites to pick up the home win at The Den against the Robins.
The Lions haven’t been in the sharpest of form, however, with a W3 D2 L2 record in their last six games.
In the third round, they handled themselves well to earn a victory at Boreham Wood.
Those recent three wins are the only three successes that Millwall have earned in all competitions since the end of October last year.
It’s only been two home wins from thirteen fixtures at the Den this season and none in their last eight (D5 L3).
Bristol City have taken a win and a draw from their last two visits to Millwall.
The Robins have been struggling a little bit for form as well, losing five of their last eight (W3).
In that run, they lost 2-0 at home against Millwall in league action. They’ve improved slightly since then.
But the Robins are the 13/5 underdogs here as they have lost their last four road games.

Sticking with the theme here for football betting tips today, we are looking at another of the all-Championship FA Cup matches.
Swansea are in excellent form at the moment and they are the 11/10 favourites to win this time.
The Swans have picked up a win in five of their last six games, including a 2-0 win at Stevenage in the last round.
Defensively the Welsh club have been brilliant. They have conceded one goal only in their last six games.
It’s been a total of eight clean sheets in their last ten games in all competitions.
Earlier this season they visited Forest in the Championship and came away with a 1-0 victory.
Forest have improved lately and have lost one of the last eight games only (W4 D3).
But their overall form away from the City Ground this season has been largely woeful.
They have lost 8 of 13 road fixtures in all competitions (W2 D3) and have failed to score more than half of them.
There is a quote of 12/5 on them to come away from the Liberty Stadium on the weekend with a win.
Given that the Swans are such a tough team at home to beat, we have to go with the home win.
