Friday's best football betting tips

Today’s football betting tips are picked from a busier than usual Friday night on the domestic scene.

We have one selection each from the top-three tiers, with Newcastle v Aston Villa being the one game from the Premier League.

As well as the domestic action for football betting today we also have tips from the Bundesliga and La Liga.

Best Football Betting Tips Today: Newcastle v Aston Villa

Newcastle will kick off the weekend just a point above the drop zone after going winless in four (D2 L2).

So they have a chance to put some pressure on those beneath them on Friday night.

In the match outright, the win for Newcastle is the 11/4 underdog selection.

The Magpies are W4 D3 L6 this season on home soil in the top flight and have taken one win in their last seven league home games.

Earlier this season when they visited Villa, Newcastle suffered a 2-0 loss.

Newcastle have both scored and conceded in each of their last five league home games but so far across the season have earned just the one home clean sheet.

Aston Villa are up mid-table, but they have been plagued by some indifferent form as of late.

The villains are W2 D2 L2 in their last six.

But they head to the northeast as the 19/20 favourites, despite losing their last away game at bottom side Sheffield United.

Villa have failed to score in three of the last five league games.

Two of the last three meetings at St James’ Park have been drawn, that’s the way we’re going for Friday night’s meeting.

Draw at 13/5

Football Betting Picks Today: Blackburn v Brentford

Blackburn held out for a good home point in midweek as they played host to promotion-chasing Swansea.

After a run of one point from six league games, Rovers have now taken four points from their last two fixtures.

So maybe things are on the up for them.

This is another tough home game they have on their hands though this weekend, so much so that Rovers are 11/4 underdogs at Ewood Park.

Blackburn have won their last three home games against Brentford however.

But in their current form, they have failed to win any of their last four on home soil (D2 L2) and have won only one of their last seven.

Earlier this season when they visited Brentford, Blackburn got themselves a point in a 2-2 draw.

Brentford are in the thick of things in the automatic promotion race.

Last weekend they suffered a loss at league leaders Norwich.

That has seen them slump to a three-match losing streak on their travels.

As they have shown this season, on their day the Bees are more than capable and still look the more likely of the two to get three points.

Football Betting Tips for Today: Walsall v Barrow

We go to League Two next for our football betting tips today to look at Walsall v Barrow.

There are three points on offer in their one that the visiting Barrow could sorely use.

They are only clear of the drop zone on goal difference (but with games in hand) after midweek home success against Mansfield.

That was their second win in their last four.

But their away form is troubling as they are W3 D1 L11 this season on the road and have lost four of their last five league away games.

Barrow are averaging under a goal per away game this season as well.

They are 15/8 underdogs to pick up three away points in this one.

But looking at the form of Walsall lately, there’s nothing much to get inspired about there either.

The home side are 13/8 for the win but they have slumped to a three-match losing streak at home in the league.

Home and away combined Walsall are winless in seven league games.

They are only three placed above Barrow in the table, but with a 9-point advantage over them.

Walsall have won three of their last four home games against Barrow and home advantage may just be the deciding factor in a tight game.

Walsall to win at 13/8

Online Betting Football Tip: Augsburg v Borussia Monchengladbach

We are in the Bundesliga next for today’s football betting to look at Augsburg v Borussia Monchengladbach.

Augsburg lost at Hertha Berlin in midweek, their fourth loss in their last six top-flight games (W1 D1).

They are only W3 D3 L6 at home this season, so they haven’t been overly convincing.

There is a quote of 3/1 on them to come up with the one win on Friday.

But they have earned just one home success in their last nine league home games.

It has been an average of just one goal per game exactly from Augsburg this season, but they have earned only one clean sheet.

So that leaves them vulnerable for the visit of Borussia Monchengladbach.

The visitors arrive as the 17/20 odds-on favourites. That says more about Augsburg than anything.

That’s because Monchengladbach have lost four of their last five league games (D1).

They have collected only three away victories in this campaign and home and away have none in their last five.

Borussia Monchengladbach are winless in four away games (D3 L1) but that record does hint that they can avoid defeat.

Draw at 13/5

Online Betting Football Tip: Levante v Valencia

The final stop on Friday’s football betting tips today is La Liga for Levante v Valencia.

There is a quote of 11/10 on the home win appearing in this mid-table clash.

Levante lost at Real Sociedad on the weekend, but that was only their second loss in their last ten league fixtures.

They have been a tough side to beat on home soil in the top flight this, losing just twice and they have drawn four of their last five home games, including a tough fixture against Atletico Madrid.

There was a heavy 4-2 loss earlier this season for Levante when they visited Valencia.

Back on home turf, they look able to at least avoid falling to them for a second time.

Valencia have very little away form going for them at the moment.

They have collected only one point from their last four road games, although to be fair they have met Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid in that run.

But overall, Valencia have landed just two road victories this season (D4 L7).

They don’t look to have enough to snatch this one.

Levante to win at 11/10
