A new week begins and today’s football betting tips will be stepping away from the international action which picks up once again on Tuesday.

Monday is a relatively quiet day for football betting for today, but we have still looked around at what is available to deliver some tips.

We are going to be looking at League One action from England as well as the Conference North and some French National League action.

We will round this off for today’s football betting tips with a look at the Spanish Segunda division as well.

Best Football Betting Tips Today: Plymouth v Portsmouth

The Pilgrims play host to Portsmouth at Home Park on Monday night in League One action.

It has been a pretty good campaign from Plymouth so far this season, holding down a top-ten spot with a W5 D3 L2 record.

They will be looking for their third win on the spin as well on Monday night having secured back to back home wins over Doncaster and Swindon.

Plymouth have been going well in front of goal at home in this campaign, averaging exactly two goals per game.

The Pilgrims, who are unbeaten at home with a W5D1 record this season, are the 13/5 underdogs however for this game against Pompey.

Portsmouth are only a couple of points better off, having played a game more than Plymouth.

The visitors are even money at bet365 to take the win.

So we think this is an even contest coming up.

Pompey have won four of their last five games (L1) so it’s that form which bookmakers are recognising.

They have drawn their last three visits to Home Park, however.

Portsmouth will begin this, having scored at least two goals in each of their last three away games.

But we think that the home win is worth a serious look here at value.

Plymouth to win 13/5

Football Betting Picks Today: Bradford v Southport

We are in the National League North now for the next game in football betting tips today. It is Bradford v Southport.

Bradford are W2 D2 L2 for the season and it is a four-match unbeaten streak of form that they have put together.

They are unbeaten in their last two on home soil as well as having drawn with Chorley and having beaten Alfreton.

So there have certainly been more positives for Bradford who are 19/10 to take the match win with bookmaker bet365.

Bradford are winless in their last three home games against Southport.

The visiting Merseysiders are sitting up in a fifth place in the table with a W3 D2 L3 record under their belt.

But they have managed to take only the one win in their last five and have lost their last two.

So after a positive start, they have been cracking a little bit and have managed to take a clean sheet in only one of their last five.

It is a quote of 11/10 on them to deliver the win in this one.

We see this being a tight game and a share of the spoils looks the most reasonable option.

Draw at 5/2

Football Betting Tips for Today: Bastia v Stade Briochin

We are going to the French National League next for Bastia v Stade Briochin.

Bastia are the league leaders with an excellent W7 D3 L2 record for the season under their belt.

They are the league’s highest scorers as well with 21 goals on the board in this campaign.

Bastia are running in hot form at the moment as well with a three-match league winning streak going, having only conceded the one goal in that sequence.

So they make for a reasonable home favourite here at 11/20 with bookmaker Bet365

Stade Briochin have improved to a W2 D1 record in their last three and have only lost one of their last six games.

That moved them on to a W4 D3 L4 record for this season’s National League campaign.

They are a mid-table side and have not conceded in any of their last three, scoring just twice in that same sequence.

Five of the last six games that Stade Briochin have played have been at home.

The one away game in that sequence they lost at third-placed Cholet 5-4.

Home win at 11/20

Online Betting Football Tip: Gijon v Rayo Vallecano

Next stop, Spain. Gijon have a W7 D1 L3 record behind them this season.

They had a three-match winning streak snapped in their last match, however.

That was an away defeat at Mirandes.

But the home form of Sporting Gijon can’t be faulted as they have taken an unbeaten W4D1 record on home turf.

It has been back to back home wins from them.

In their five home fixtures, Gijon have only conceded the two goals and all-season have conceded just six in their eleven games.

So that’s a fantastic return and Bet365 have them at 7/5 to win this match.

Rayo Vallecano are going in the wrong direction with their form.

They have lost their last two and have suffered defeats in three of their last four.

Each of the three defeats in that sequence were by a 1 goal margin and they have failed to score in each of their last two.

So with that dip in form, the 2/1 underdogs odds on them don’t look too appealing.

Gijon to win at 7/5
