Fabio Vieira / Porto ©IMAGO / AFLOSPORT 07.04.2021

It’s a busy night in today’s football betting tips as the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League resumes.

There are also fixtures being played up and down the country in the English tiers outside of the Premier League.

We have a bumper of six tips for today’s football betting on an exciting night of action.

Best Football Betting Tips Today: Chelsea v Porto

Football betting tips today start with a look at the second leg of this Champions League tie.

Chelsea are well in control of things after having taken a 2-0 first-leg lead.

Both ties are being played on neutral territory, but Chelsea look comfortable enough to see this out.

They held Porto at arm’s length well enough in that fixture.

If you are looking at their home form against Porto and Chelsa have won the last two such fixtures by a 2-0 scoreline.

The Blues were in fine form on the weekend as well, taking a 4-1 away win at Crystal Palace win the league.

So Porto are the 10/3 underdogs for this second leg as they have to find something special.

They have now lost their last two Champions League fixtures, having suffered a 3-2 reverse against Juventus after extra time in their Round of 16 second leg.

It is difficult to see what something different that they can bring to the table to turn this time around.

Football Betting Picks Today: PSG v Bayern Munich

The first leg of this quarter-final tie was such a wide-open thrilling affair. It was PSG who came out on top with a 3-2 success.

So that’s a big advantage that they have now with the away goals in the bag.

But they are 21/10 underdogs back on home turf to deliver another win because they know that Bayern are going to come at them hard.

But a quick look at the head to head and PSG have won their four previous home games against the Germans.

Six of the eight previous meetings (not including the 2020 Final) have been won but the home side on the day.

Can PSG do enough and hang on?

Bayern Munich had their long unbeaten streak of form in the competition snapped with the first-leg loss.

Are they out of this? No. In the Round of 16 they went to Lazio and produced a 4-1 win there against the Italians.

They have scored 13 goals in their four away games during this Champions League campaign.

Bayern Munich are a quote of 21/20 to win the night.

You wouldn’t totally put it past them even if they are missing the main man Robert Lewandowski.

Bayern Munich to win at 21/20

Football Betting Tips for Today: Huddersfield v Bournemouth

Huddersfield have banked one win in their last nine league games now.

On the weekend theatre held at home to a 0-0 draw against the relegation-threatened Rotherham.

That’s back to back games in which Huddersfield have now failed to score.

But a positive is that they are undefeated in their last five home games, drawing each of the last four.

So it’s been one defeat in their last seven league fixtures, home and away and they are 3/1 underdogs to win this.

Earlier this season Huddersfield lost 5-0 in an away game at Bournemouth.

In their ten games played this season against teams currently in the top six, the Terries have conceded at least three goals in four of those fixtures.

So this looks like being a winnable match for the visiting Bournemouth.

The Cherries have gotten themselves back on track well as they make a run for the playoffs.

It has been a four-match winning streak that they have put together.

Bournemouth scored at least three goals in three of those four wins as well.

So they are running hot at the moment and are worth backing at the moment to keep their positive streak going.

They won their last visit to Huddersfield 2-0.

Bournemouth to win at 10/11

Online Betting Football Tip: Sheff Wed v Swansea

We stay in the Championship for more action from today’s football betting tips.

Sheffield Wednesday’s bid for survival is running out of time. They have won two of their last four league games.

But they can’t get a winning streak going and lost heavily at QPR on the weekend.

That leaves them seven points from safety with six more fixtures to go.

It doesn’t look good for them, but they produced a fantastic 5-0 win over Cardiff in their last home game.

That snapped a four-match winless streak of form that they had been on at Hillsborough.

From their four games played at home against teams who are currently in the top five, the Owls have banked just one point.

So there has to be a big chance at the points for the visiting Swansea who are in 4th place.

The Swansea earned a comfortable 3-0 away win at Millwall on the weekend, taking the road record to W10 D4 L6.

They needed that as well because they had lost four in a row before that weekend success, not scoring in any of those defeats.

So that victory will have eased some pressure and the Welsh club have won at Rotherham and Wycombe this season, two of the other bottom three.

Swansea to win at 6/4

Online Betting Football Tip: Wigan v Sunderland

Wigan earned an important three points on the weekend with a 4-1 win at Doncaster.

That was enough to move them out of the drop zone on goal difference.

That snapped a five-match winless streak of form that they had been on (D2 L3).

Their home form hasn’t been as strong as their road form this season. Wigan are only W3 D5 L11 on home turf.

The Latics head back into action o on Tuesday night as the 7/2 underdogs to get the three points on offer.

This is a very tough game, Especially as Wigan have lost six of their last eight on home soil (W1 D1).

Sunderland lost a bit of ground on the weekend in the race for automatic promotion.

They suffered a loss against the in-form Charlton to leave them five points out of second place, with a game in hand.

Sunderland had been undefeated in 12 league games before that.

They can’t afford any more slips like that.

Away from home the Balck Cats are W10 D8 L1 this season and have posted a strong W4 D2 record in their last six road games.

The Black Cats have conceded one goal only in their last six away games. They should have enough to get past Wigan.

Sunderland to win at 7/10

Online Betting Football Tip: Blackpool v Accrington

We have one final fixture for today’s football betting as we stay in League on for a look at Blackpool v Accrington.

Blackpool are going strong at the moment with a W 4 D2 record in their last six games.

That’s keeping them in the top six, but it’s a tight race still and they can’t ease up.

Blackpool are 7/10 favourite on home soil for Tuesday’s fixture against Accrington and they have remained unbeaten since a loss against Ipswich back on February 6th.

So it’s been great form and they have won two of their last three on home turf.

Blackpool have netted at least two goals in each of their last three home fixtures.

Accrington have lost five of their last eight (W2 D1).

On the weekend they took a heavy home tumble against AFC Wimbledon, losing 501.

They dig out a win in their most recent away game, a 2-1 success at Oxford.

But that’s their only victory in their last six on the road (D1 L4) and they are big 15/4 underdogs.

Blackpool to win at 7/10
