The return of the UEFA Champions League is in focus for today’s football betting tips. We will be making some picks from the night’s action there.

But there is also a lot going on on the domestic front as well. So we will have even more selections for football betting for today from the Championship and League One.

It’s a busy night on Tuesday for football action and let’s jump straight in with Champions League action.

Best Football Betting Tips Today: Barcelona v PSG

The Round of sixteen in the UEFA Champions League kicks off with this heavyweight duel in Barcelona.

Barcelona are in pretty good form having only lost once in all competitions since their last Champions League game back in December.

That ended in a home loss against Juventus and saw Barca miss out on a perfect record in the group stage.

In this season’s competition, they have scored at least two goals in all fixtures and they are 11/10 to win on Tuesday.

PSG have lost their last three visits to Barcelona, but are also carrying good current form.

The Parisians have won eight of their last nine games in all competitions (L1).

There is a quote of 2/1 on them in the match outright to get the win in this fixture.

In the group stage of this season’s exemption, they went W4 L2, losing fixtures against Man Utd at home and then at RB Leipzig on the road.

Most of their struggles have been on the road this season in all competitions and they could just be a little too vulnerable.

Barcelona to win at 11/10

Football Betting Picks Today: Leipzig v Liverpool

With another league defeat, their third in a row suffered on the weekend, Liverpool’s struggles continue.

This then looks like a tricky road trip for them in the first leg of this round of sixteen tie in the Champions League.

The Reds are 13/10 favourites still as they look for a boost of form.

This will be the first meeting between the two clubs and this doesn’t look to be an easy one for the reigning Premier League champions.

They have won only four of their last thirteen away games in all competitions and have no clean sheets in any of their last six.

Liverpool went W4 D1 L1 in the group stage of this season’s Champions League, earning five clean sheets.

RB Leipzig have won their last four games in all competitions, so they have the better current form.

In the stage, they earned a W4 L2 record and the interesting thing about that is their home form.

They collected wins over PSG and Manchester United on home turf (losing to them respectively on the road).

This is technically a home game, but it’s being played in Budapest, Hungary because of travel restrictions in Germany.

But it shows that they carry a threat.

Leipzig have a staggering W13 D1 L1 from all home games in all competitions this season, the Germans warrant some consideration.

RB Leipzig to win at 19/10

Football Betting Tips for Today: Preston v Watford

Preston have a tough challenge on their hands at home against Watford on Tuesday night in the Championship.

They are the 16/5 underdogs to get the win on the board.

Preston have not done a lot of that recently as they are W2 D1 L4 in their last seven league games.

It has been a run of three games without a win for them at Deepdale as well, taking one point in that sequence.

The home form of Preston this season is W4 D2 L8 only.

They have averaged under a goal per league home game.

When Watford hosted Preston earlier this season at Vicarage Road, the Hornets cruised to a 4-1 win.

Watford are in the top four after thumping Bristol City 6-0 on the weekend.

That continued their good home form for the season. But it’s not been great on the road from them.

Watford are only W3 D7 L4 on their league travels this season.

But they are undefeated in three in a row and may be worth backing to get the three points.

Online Betting Football Tip: Middlesbrough v Huddersfield

Boro’s promosition push is badly in danger of falling apart at the moment.

They are in a slump with only one point having been collected from their last five games.

So they are in a spot of bother and are six points outside of the Championship playoff spots.

They have suffered three straight defeats at home as well and one of those was against Rotherham who are just free of the drop zone by a point.

So it’s not happening for Boro right now but they are the 4/5 favourites for a win on Tuesday.

That’s because Huddersfield are even worse off than they are with current form.

The Terriers have lost their last three trips to the Riverside as well.

In their last seven league fixtures, Huddersfield have managed to earn just two points.

On their road travels in the second tier, they have been stuck on two wins only since the end of October.

But with Boro out of form, the draw may just be the best way to go here.

Draw at 13/5

Online Betting Football Tip: Bristol Rovers v Portsmouth

We are looking at League One next for football betting tips today.

Bristol Rovers badly need to get a win on the board as they have slumped into some big relegation issues.

Only goal difference is keeping them out of the drop zone at the moment as the Pirates have managed only two points from their last eight league games.

In that sequence, Rovers managed to score in just three fixtures.

They are rolling in as the 7/2 underdogs here against the promotion-chasing Pompey.

Portsmouth have lost only two league fixtures in early December last year and those were against the current top-two.

Pompey are on a fantastic four-match winning streak on the road.

Away from home in league action Portsmouth have averaged two goals per game this season.

It may not take too much from them to see off a struggling Bristol Rovers side.

Portsmouth to win at 3/4
