Today’s football betting tips take a look at the midweek action which swings back to the UEFA Champions League. The group stage of this condensed season continues with matchday three.

It’s Liverpool and Man City who are leading the way for England on the night. So we will naturally be looking at some of the matches from the competition.

But there is a good chunk of Championship fixtures as well to look at for the night, so we have plenty to explore in football betting tips today.

Best Football Betting Tips Today: Atalanta v Liverpool

The Reds will be looking to make it three wins from three in this season’s Champions League campaign as they face a trip to Italy on Tuesday night.

So far Liverpool have taken an away win at Ajax and a victory at Anfield over Midtjylland to kick off their campaign.

They are 21/20 for the away win in midweek, which could be a tricky one.

It has been 11 wins for Liverpool in their last 17 European fixtures (D2 L4) and also their last three on the road in the group stage.

However, they did lose at Napoli last season in the Champions League and that is three straight defeats for Liverpool in Italy.

Atalanta were debutants in last season’s Champions League and they impressed greatly. Their run was ended in the quarter-finals by PSG.

In the group stage, Atalanta faced Manchester City, losing at home against them, but taking a point at the Etihad on matchday four.

It has been just five defeats in their last 25 European games that Atalanta have suffered. They are a quote of 21/10 to pick up the victory on Tuesday.

Atalanta could be stubborn opposition for the Reds. But even without having played well this season, Liverpool have been finding ways to win.

Liverpool to win at 21/20

Football Betting Picks Today: Man City v Olympiakos

The Citizens are long odds-on favourites for this home game on matchday three of the Champions League.

It has been a successful start to this campaign from them. City have claimed wins over Porto and Marseille, scoring three goals in each of those games.

So it’s a confident start and they should pick up three points in this one. It is a nine-match unbeaten run of form that City are on in European home matches, winning eight of those.

They have only once before faced Greek opposition. That was in the Europa League Round of 32 in the 2010/11 season against Aris Thessaloniki. After a 0-0 draw in Greece, City won 3-0 at home.

The Citizens are 5/4 to cruise to Win To Nil with bookmaker Betfair.

Olympiakos got their campaign off to a good winning start. They collected a 1-0 home win over Marseille to get up and running.

They slipped to a 2-0 away loss against Porto however on matchday two and are huge 12/1 underdogs for Tuesday.

With five losses in their last seven European away games (W1 D1) it is hard to see them coming up with the goods.

They have lost their last eight group stage away games in the Champions League.

Man City to win to nil at 5/4

Football Betting Tips for Today: Norwich v Millwall

Norwich are still going along very well at the moment. It has been a superb W4 D1 return from their last five Championship games.

Last time out they secured a good away win at Bristol City.

The Canaries have taken a W2 D1 L1 record on home soil. After a slow start at Carrow Road, they have won their last two there.

Those were both by a one-goal margin over Birmingham and Wycombe. There has only been one home clean sheet from Norwich in this campaign.

But they are the 10/11 favourites with Betfair and look in good shape to claim three points

Millwall are the visitors in midweek who lost on the weekend at home against Huddersfield.

That was a big 3-0 reverse for the Lions, snapping a good four-match unbeaten streak that they had been on.

This is a tough game for them now in which to try and recover.

Their last two wins away from home have been at Wycombe and Preston, both of which are in the bottom half of the table.

Norwich are on a four-match winning streak at home against Millwall and we would expect that to continue.

But both teams getting on the scoresheet as well have a lot of appeal.

Norwich to win & BTTS at 10/3

Online Betting Football Tip: Sheffield Wednesday v Bournemouth

Staying in the Championship, we are taking a look at Sheffield Wednesday v Bournemouth.

Things are getting tough for the Owls, who started the season with a 12-point deduction. It had been a decent start from them in eating away at that deficit.

However, they have now tumbled to four straight losses. The most recent of those happened on the weekend at Wycombe.

That saw Wycombe, who are second from bottom, take their first win of the season.

It is also now a three-match sequence in which Sheffield Wednesday have failed to hit the back of the net.

Things are not going to get easier for them on Tuesday as they are 5/2 underdogs at home against Bournemouth.

The visiting Cherries have won their last two visits to Hillsborough. They extended their unbeaten start to this season on the weekend with a draw against Derby.

That moved them on to a W4 D5 record for the campaign and four of their last five have ended in a draw.

This is probably going to be a low-scoring game as Bournemouth haven’t managed more than one goal in any of their last five.

But a win should be heading their way.

Bournemouth to win at 6/5

Online Betting Football Tip: Real Madrid v Inter

This is the big game of the night in the UEFA Champions League as Real Madrid play host to Inter.

It hasn’t been the brightest of starts from Real Madrid in this campaign at all.

The Spanish champions opened with a shock 2-3 home reverse against an understrength Shakhtar Donetsk.

Following that came a 2-2 away draw at Borussia Monchengladbach.

So they aren’t up and running yet and the 10/11 outright odds on them in this fixture may look a bit unappealing to support.

Real Madrid though have won their last two home games against Inter, both by a 2-0 scoreline.

They have blanked their Italian opponents in three of their last four visits to the Bernabeu.

It has been back to back draws for Inter in this group stage so far. That was a 2-2 draw against Borussia Monchengladbach.

On matchday two they played out a 0-0 draw away at Shakhtar. Inter are 13/5 with Betfair to pick up the away win.

Inter have won only two of their last 12 UEFA Champions League matches (D5 L5).

In their last eight games against Spanish opposition, Inter are W1 D1 L6.

The home side may just be worth a flutter.

Real Madrid to win at 10/11
