Aside from the big Champions League action that is happening on Wednesday night, there is plenty to look at from the domestic scene in today’s football betting tips.

We are going to be looking at more of the midweek action from the Championship, League One and League Two.

There are an exciting five selections that we are making for football betting tips today.

Best Football Betting Tips Today: Middlesbrough v Swansea

Boro have managed to take only the one win from their last five games and won’t get an easy one here against Swansea.

That having been said, the home form of Middlesbrough this season hasn’t been bad at W4 D2 L1.

They have won three of their last four at home, the only blip in that sequence being a home loss against leaders Norwich.

It has only been three goals that Boro have given up in their seven games at the Riverside which is a fantastic return.

That indicates that this is going to be a low-scoring game against Swansea.

Under 2.5 goals is at 8/15 with Betfre to highlight that.

None of Swansea’s last five league games have made it above two goals.

Swansea are in very good form, Norwich being the only ones to beat them in their last eight (W4 D3).

Swansea took a win at Nottingham Forest on the weekend, a 1-0 success.

The Swans have conceded just 4 goals in their seven away games.

It is hard to see past a low-scoring draw in this one.

Draw at 11/5

Football Betting Picks Today: Nottingham Forest v Watford

It is a three-match losing streak for Nottingham Forest in the league now after going down 1-0 at home against Swansea on the weekend.

That leaves them just 2 points above the relegation zone.

They had been undefeated in four league home games before the visit of Swansea on the weekend, so weren’t in bad shape there.

Betfred have the Tricky Trees as the 9/5 underdogs for Wednesday’s home game against Watford.

Home and away, Forest have played three games against current top-six sides (Watford are third) and have lost each of those.

Watford will be arriving in good spirits after thumping Preston 4-1 at Vicarage Road on the weekend.

They have a superb record there this season, but it hasn’t been quite as good on the road.

Watford are W1 D4 L2 on their league travels, strangely struggling for goals, having scored just three goals in their seven road fixtures.

But they have been good at the back. They are worth considering to take advantage of Forest’s slump.

Watford to win at 7/5

Football Betting Tips for Today: Bristol Rovers v Gillingham

Next for football betting tips today we visit League One for Bristol Rovers v Gillingham.

Rovers were in a rampant mood in the FA Cup on the weekend, thrashing Darlington 6-0 at home.

The Pirates are not doing so well in their league campaign, having slipped into the relegation zone.

They have failed to take a win in any of their last six league games (D2 L4) so are struggling there.

Only bottom side Wigan have scored fewer League One goals than Rovers have done this season.

Betfred have them as the 13/10 favourites at home for this game, however.

Gillingham are in form at the moment with seven points earned from their last nine.

The Gills took a win in their last away game, 1-0 success at Crewe to take them to W2 D1 L2 on their travels.

They lost an FA Cup tie on the weekend away at Exeter.

It is a three-match unbeaten run of form that they are on away from home against Rovers.

There’s a chance for them here to grab three points.

Gillingham to win at 21/10

Online Betting Football Tip: Hull v Doncaster

This is an interesting League One clash and it features league leaders Hull seeking their fourth win on the bounce.

They are just in great shape at the moment are the Tigers, their last two wins have been on the road, scoring three goals in each of those victories.

So it has been strong stuff from them and they are 17/20 odds-on to bank three points when they host Doncaster on Wednesday.

The Tigers are W4 L1 at home this season with the one slip up happening against second-placed Peterborough.

All four of Hull’s home league wins for this campaign have been with a clean sheet.

Doncaster arrived in form having beaten Blackpool in their last league fixture. They are now undefeated in four.

Away from home Doncaster have earned a W2 D1 L2 record and are 16/5 with Betfred to win this fixture.

The really interesting thing here is that their four games played against current top-six sides this season, Doncaster have won.

Two of those were away from home.

But do we see them stopping Hull? No.

Hull to win at 17/20

Online Betting Football Tip: Carlisle v Salford

The last stop for football betting for today is League Two as we look at Carlisle v Salford.

Carlisle are the 11/8 favourites for the match win in this one. It’s hard to argue with that, as it’s been a fine home campaign.

The Cumbrians are W5 L1 at home in the league for this campaign, so look a decent bit of value.

In last season’s home game against Salford, they played out a 2-2 draw.

Carlisle were beaten in the FA Cup by League One side Doncaster on the weekend.

But going back to their league home form, they have averaged over two goals per home fixture.

Salford are one place back of The Blues only in the league, so this should be a tight game.

However, they have been much better on home turf than on their travels.

Salford have lost their last two away games against Bolton and Cambridge and are 2/1 underdogs for a win on Wednesday.

Overall, their two away wins happened against teams currently in the bottom seven.

The home win looks more likely.

Carlisle to win at 11/8
