We are visiting the Champions League for today’s football betting tips. These are the final matches to be played in this season’s group stage.

So there is plenty on the line across the course of the evening, but England’s representatives Liverpool and Man City are both comfortably through.

So here are our best tips for football betting for today.

Best Football Betting Tips Today: Inter v Shakhtar

There is a great setup in this fixture with Inter needing to come out at the San Siro and put a win on the board to qualify.

They have taken just a W1 D2 L2 record from their games played so far in the group.

Inter gave themselves a lifeline in their last group fixture, taking a 3-2 win over Borussia Monchengladbach to stay in this race.

Inter are strong 2/7 odds-on favourites for the win in this game.

They are undefeated with a W2 D2 record at home against Ukrainian opposition.

In the semi-finals of last season’s Europa League, Inter crushed Shakhtar Donetsk 5-0.

Before a draw against Shakhtar earlier in this group stage campaign, Inter had been on a four-match winning streak against Ukrainian opposition.

Shakhtar have taken seven points in the group and six of those were against Real Madrid.

Also, all of the goals they have scored in the group happened against Madrid.

The Pitmen will go through to the next round with a win, a draw could get them there but that would need Real Madrid to fail to beat Monchengladbach.

So they do have to turn up and play for a win. We just think that leaves them vulnerable.

Football Betting Picks Today: Real Madrid v Borussia Mochengelbach

All four teams in Group B can still make it through to the round of sixteen, so there’s everything to play for here.

A win for Real Madrid on the night will see them go through.

A draw would be enough for them only if Inter beat Shakhtar in the other group game.

Real Madrid were held to a 2-2 draw in Germany on Match Day Two, Madrid scoring two very late goals to earn the point.

It hasn’t been a smooth campaign from Real Madrid as all but one of their points in the group have happened against Inter.

They are running at 8/11 odds-on to claim the win on Wednesday.

Their overall form in all competitions isn’t great at the moment, going only W2 D1 L3 in their last six.

But they do hold a huge positive record of W25 D6 L3 at home against Bundesliga clubs.

Real Madrid have only lost one of the last 17 home games against German opposition, winning 13 of those.

A win for Monchengladbach means that they will finish top of the group. A draw would get them through.

If there is a draw between Inter and Shakhtar, then a defeat would get Monchengladbach through.

So there is a chance that Monchgelach turns up in a resilient mood but probably aren’t worth chancing at 4/1 for the win.

But, they are scoring well and have handled themselves well enough already to perhaps avoid defeat.

Draw at 13/5

Football Betting Tips for Today: Olympiakos v Porto

Next for today’s football betting tips, we are looking at this clash from Group C.

Porto will finish in second place in the group no matter the outcome of this game.

So they don’t have anything to play for in this one which is probably why they are 15/4 underdogs for the match.

Earlier in this group stage campaign, Porto claimed a comfortable 2-0 win over Olympiakos.

Their record in Greece isn’t very good.

They got their first win ever there on their last visit which was in 2003 against Panathainkakos.

That leaves then with a W1 D2 L4 record in the country.

Olympiakos do have something to play for in this game.

The Greek side needed to match whatever result it is that Marseille came up with on the same night against Man City.

That will be enough for the Olympiakos to get through.

Given that they have home advantage here against a potentially understrength Porto, we think the home win should be backed.

Olympiakos have their won their list three home games against Porto to boot.

Olympiakos to win at 4/5

Online Betting Football Tip: RB Salzburg v Atletico Madrid

The only thing settled in Group A is that Bayern Munich have won the group at a canter.

RB Salzburg have to come up with a win at home here to pip Atletico Madrid to second place in the table.

The Austrians are a quote of 11/5 to pull that off.

But this is a tricky situation for them because if Lokomotiv Moscow betters their result on the night, Salzburg would fall to the bottom and miss the Europa League.

So this is going to be a night of fine balance for FC Salzburg who are W1 D1 L3 in this group stage campaign.

They put up a spirited effort in Madrid on matchday Two, losing 3-2 against Atletico.

Salzburg holds a W3 L3 record at home against visitors from Spain.

Overall they have won only 4 of 15 previous fixtures against La Liga opponents.

Atletico Madrid have had their struggles in this group.

Away from home they have been hammered by Bayern Munich and held to a draw by Lokomotiv Moscow.

It is only a W1 D3 L1 record that they have managed in this campaign, the lone win against Salzburg.

They are heading to Austria at 23/20 for the win.

Across all competitions this season Atletico Madrid have only lost one game, that being the aforementioned Champions League fixture against Bayern Munich.

We think that they find a way to win this.

Atletico Madrid are unbeaten in seven previous games against Austria teams and have won all three trips to Austria.
