For today’s football betting tips we are taking a look at some of the domestic action from England that is in play at night.

We have another exciting night of Championship football happening.

That is where all of the selections for football betting tips today will come from.

Best Football Betting Tips Today: Preston v Middlesbrough

Preston are down in the bottom half of the Championship at the moment.

But no team outside of the current top nine has won more games than they have.

Preston are unbeaten in their last two after playing out a draw with Wycombe on the weekend.

That came straight after a fantastic win at promotion-chasing Bournemouth.

It hasn’t been a great campaign from Preston at home as they are only W1 D1 L6 at Deepdale.

They have come up with only the four goals in their eight home fixtures.

So the visiting Middlesbrough may fancy their chances in this one as the 7/5 favourites.

However, they don’t exactly look that reliable as it has been one away win from them all season (D4 L3).

It has been back to back road losses for them now and Boro have come up with one goal only in their last four away games.

That makes this game a real toss-up in our eyes and to split it, we have to swing with home advantage for the Lilywhites.

Preston to win at 2/1

Football Betting Picks Today: Brentford v Derby

This looks to be a more straight forward selection for football betting for today.

Brentford are running along in some nice form at the moment having won three of their last four league fixtures.

They have also gone unbeaten in their last four at home against Derby (W2 D2).

The Bees are a solid top-six side and have earned a W3 D4 L1 record at Griffin Park.

Home and away they have not lost any of their last nine league games now and they have, by and large, been watertight at the back.

Brentford have earned four clean sheets in their last six league fixtures.

The Bees are 3/5 odds-on for three points on Wednesday.

Derby are second from bottom in the league but collected a win on the weekend at Millwall.

That was just the second victory that they have claimed this season’s competition.

Both wins, incidentally have been away from home

Derby are the 19/4 underdogs for this game understandably.

That success over Millwall saw the Rams snap an eleven match winless streak of league form.

In no league fixture, this season have Derby managed to score more than one goal in a game.

They may struggle to get that against Brentford.

Brentford to win to nil at 6/4

Football Betting Tips for Today: Norwich v Nottingham Forest

The high-flying Canaries will be looking to start building up some more winning momentum.

The league leaders had taken only one point from two games before earning a win over Sheffield Wednesday on the weekend.

So this looks like a chance for them to get back in the groove as they host Nottingham Forest.

Norwich are W4 D3 L1 at home this season in the Championship and they are unbeaten in their last six at Carrow Road (W4 D2).

It has only been the six goals that the Canaries have conceded at home this season in their eight games.

So that could give the visiting Forest a problem or two.

Norwich are 7/10 in the match outright for the success in his zone.

The last two meetings at Carrow Road Between Norwich and Forest have needed a draw. Norwich had won the two prior to that.

In three of their last four home games against Forest, Norwich have scored at least three goals.

Nottingham Forest arrive in a poor run of form. They have picked up only one point from their last five league fixtures.

Their big slump has left them just outside of the drop zone.

On their league travels this term, Nottingham Forest have taken a very poor W1 D1 L6 record.

They have failed to score in six of their last eight games (home and away).

This may well be a comfortable night at the office for Norwich.

Norwich to win to nil at 15/8

Online Betting Football Tip: Bristol City v Blackburn

This could easily be the best contest of the night as 8th placed Bristol City take on Blackburn who are right behind them.

The Robins have managed to take just one win in their last four league games, so they have gone off the boil a little bit.

They suffered a 1-0 loss at Ashton Gate against Birmingham on the weekend leaving them with a W3 D2 L3 record on home turf.

Each of the three wins that they have taken at home have been against teams who are currently in the bottom six.

The Robins are averaging under a goal per home game this season, but they have been fairly tight at the back conceding just 7 goals in their 8 at Ashton Gate.

Blackburn are on the up at the moment with a seven-match unbeaten streak going.

They have taken three wins in their last four games and the goals are flowing freely from Rovers.

Blackburn have scored at least two goals in five of their last six league games now.

Their away form is only an average W3 D2 L3 and haven’t won away at any team currently in the top half of the table.

But they look as if they are in the mood to rattle the Robins and they won on a visit to Ashton Gate last season.

Blackburn to win at 13/10
