Wednesday's best football betting tips

Wednesday’s football betting tips enjoy another good selection of both Premier League and Championship matches.

The pick of the bunch is the Everton v Leicester clash in the Premier League.

For today’s football betting we will be looking at that and more as the domestic action rumbles on.

Best Football Betting Tips Today: Burnley v Aston Villa

Burnley scored a good FA Cup away win at Fulham on the weekend to make it back to back wins for them.

That cup success followed on from a shock three points that the Clarets took in a 1-0 win at Liverpool.

The result came totally out of the Blue and now they return to Turf Moor looking to build on it.

Burnley are 11/4 for the win in this one, sizeable underdogs for the home team.

The home form of Burnley this season is W3 D1 L4 but they have won two of their last three there.

There has only been one defeat at Turf Moor for Burnley in their last five and that was at the hands of the in-form Man Utd.

But will they be able to rein-in Aston Villa?

The Villains took a comfortable 2-0 win over Newcastle in league action on the weekend. That continues some great form.

Villa are W4 D2 L2 in their last eight league games. The defeats were away at Man Utd and Man City.

Upon closer examination of their away form, Villa have won all four away games played against teams currently in the bottom half of the table.

Those were all to nil as well and they are facing the lowest-scoring side in the league here.

Aston Villa to win at 19/20

Football Betting Picks Today: Brighton v Fulham

This is going to be a big scrap for survival down at the wrong end of the Premier League.

Brighton are fourth from bottom, holding a five-point advantage over Fulham who are right behind him.

But Fulham have a game in hand still over the Seagulls.

So a win for Brighton would leave them sitting a little more comfortable at least.

There has not been a home win for Bristol this season (D5 L4) and in that sequence were held to a draw by bottom side Sheffield United.

But they are the 21/20 favourites for three points in this one.

The Seagulls are unbeaten in their last three home games against the Cottagers now.

Fulham were dumped out of the FA Cup on the weekend by Bunrely. They have lost their last two league games as well.

Fulham are winless in their last eight league games (D5 L3). The defaults in that sequence were only against top-class opposition in Man City, Chelsea and Man Utd however.

They have drawn their last two on the road, one of those at Tottenham. Three points would be absolutely huge for them in their fight against relegation.

We just can’t see them getting it.

Draw at 12/5

Football Betting Tips for Today: Everton v Leicester

This is the big clash of the night from the Premier League between two of the current top six.

Everton would move to within three points of third-place Leicester if they could make the most of home advantage.

The Toffees are the 7/4 favourites for the victory.

In last season’s corresponding league fixture, Everton took a 2-1 win and were W2 D1 L1 in their last four at home against the Foxes.

Everton are W4 D1 L3 at Goodison Park this season, winning two of their last three there.

Home and away Everton have won five of their last six league fixtures (L1).

So they are in good shape and have been nice and tight in defence.

Leicester have lost Jamie Vardy for a while as he has gone to have surgery.

Bet at Betway

How much will that impact the chances of the Foxes grabbing a good win here?

They are well in the mix for the Premier League title at the moment with a three-match winning streak under their belt.

They are 31/20 to extend that good form by taking a win.

It has been tremendous away form for Leicester this season with a W7 D1 L1 return on the board from their travels.

They have scored at least two goals in seven of their last eight league games.

But will the missing presence of Vardy tip the balance to the Toffees?

Everton to win at 7/4

Online Betting Football Tip: Swansea v Brentford

It is on to the Championship next for today’s football betting tips.

The Swans continue to have a good season in the league.

They are up into second place having dropped only two points in their last five.

So they are steaming along at the moment.

In the match outright, Swansea to win is at 9/5 as they are facing another form-team.

Swansea are W7 D4 L1 at the Liberty Stadium in Championship action this season.

They are undefeated in nine in what has been a brilliant run.

Swansea have only conceded five goals at home this season in their twelve games.

Brentford are right in form at the moment as well.

The Bees have a four-match winning streak going in the league.

They have taken a great W6 D3 L2 away record for the campaign.

They are not going to be easily beaten and are 31/20 for the win.

It is a seven-match undefeated streak of away form that Brentford are currently on.

Home and away they are unbeaten in 16 league fixtures.

Draw at 9/4

Online Betting Football Tip: Middlesbrough v Rotherham

We stay in the Championship for football betting for today.

Boro are still missing that bit of consistency at the moment.

But they are still within touch of the top six in the Championship.

This is a good opportunity for them to strike up another three points.

Boro are the 5/6 odds-on favourites for the win.

At the Riverside, Boro are W7 D2 L3 but have dropped their last two there.

Those were both 1-0 losses against Birmigham and Blackburn.

But will they handle themselves against Rotherham?

The Millers have lost five of their last eight league games (W2 D1).

It has only been a W2 D2 L7 away return from them this season.

Rotherham are the 10/3 underdogs.

They snapped a horrendous seven-match losing streak away from home by beating Derby in their last road game.

This, however, is a much tougher assignment.

Middlesbrough to win at 5/6
