Today’s football bettings tips preview is taking a look at the Championship as another big night of action gets underway.

We will be taking a look at five games from Tuesday’s coupon, notably looking at league leaders Norwich as they try to recover from a Boxing Day defeat.

It’s another great night of second-tier action and we are going to start at Carrow Road for football betting tips today.

Best Football Betting Tips Today: Norwich v QPR

The Canaries had a five match winning streak in the Championship snapped on Boxing Day.

Their hot form was cooled by Watford at Vicarage Road. So will Norwich get straight back to winning ways on Tuesday?

They are playing host to QPR and the Canaries are the 3/5 favourites for the three points.

Some strong home form by Norwich stays intact as they have won their last three on home turf, going unbeaten in eight there in the league.

Norwich have hit at least two goals in each of their last three home league games as well.

In their overall home record of W6 D3 L1 this season, Norwich have conceded only seven goals.

So that should make this a difficult game for QPR who haven’t won since a 3-2 home success over Rotherham on November 24th.

That’s a run of D3 L5 in their eight league fixture since then.

They are having big problems in scoring goals as QPR have returned only two of them in their last six league games.

With them having lost their last three trips to Carrow Road to nil, the 19/4 odds on the away win look a big risk.

Norwich to win to nil at 15/8

Football Betting Picks Today: Birmingham v Derby

After a draw on Boxing Day against Nottingham Forest, Birmingham have failed to take a win in their last four league games.

That was a well-earned point at Forest though the Blues took, considering that they had lost their three previous league fixtures.

A home win for Birmingham on Tuesday is at 7/4 odds with bookmaker William Hill.

The Blues are W2 D2 L6 at St Andrew’s this season and they haven’t managed to win any of their last six home fixtures.

In that run of six home Championship games, Birmingham have taken only one point.

So will they get any change out of Derby in midweek?

The Rams have been going through a bit of a revival, but a loss at home against Preston on Boxing Day left them in the drop zone.

Still, that’s the only defeat in their last seven league games (W2 D4). So they have been a tough nut to crack recently.

The defeat against Preston was only a 1-0 reverse.

Derby have given up one goal only in their last five league games, scoring just three themselves.

It’s hard to get past the draw on this one in today’s football betting tips.

Draw at 11/5

Football Betting Tips for Today: Stoke v Nottingham Forest

Stoke continued some good recent form with a draw at Coventry on Boxing Day.

That left them on a four match unbeaten streak of league form and with only one loss in their last eight.

So the Potters continue to be very hard to knock over and they are at 5/4 to get a home win on Tuesday.

Stoke have won five of their last seven home games (L2) so are not in bad shape at all.

All five of their home successes played out this season have been by a one-goal margin.

Seven of their nine league wins across the course of the campaign home and away have been by that 1 goal margin.

Forest played out a 0-0 draw with Birmingham on Boxing day, their second draw on the spin.

It’s been only one victory in their last ten league games, that happening at home against Sheff Wednesday who are in the drop zone.

Forest have taken one point from their last six away games and don’t offer too much appeal at 23/10 in the William Hill match outright.

Stoke to win at 5/4

Online Betting Football Tip: Preston v Coventry

Preston have secured back to back league wins, both 1-0 success over Bristol City and Derby.

Can they keep their streak going as they face Coventry in midweek action? The last time Preston hosted Coventry they claimed a 1-0 win.

Preston have won their last two home games, taking a clean sheet in both. They have worked their way to a three-match undefeated streak of home form.

There has been a lack of goals at Deepdale from them though, as the Lilywhites have tallied just 8 in their W3 D1 L6 poor return.

Still, Preston are 5/4 favourites for the win in this fixture.

It’s a mid-table position that they currently hold down and they are facing a Coventry side who have won once away from home this season only.

The Sky Blues are W1 D3 L6 on their travels with their one success on the road happening at Wycombe who are at the foot of the table.

Coventry have averaged 0.8 goals per away game in this campaign, so we can’t predict a high-scoring fixture here in midweek.

We can’t see them coming up with enough to bag maximum points after losing at Sheffield Wednesday in their last away game.

Preston to win at 5/4

Online Betting Football Tip: Sheffield Wednesday v Middlesbrough

Sheffield Wednesday have taken four points from their last two games, which has kept them off the bottom of the table.

In their last home game, they collected a 1-0 win over Coventry and another three points at Hillsborough could get them out of the drop zone in midweek.

Considering they started the season with a 6-point deduction, that would be good going.

It has been a W2 D5 L3 record that the Owls have collected at home this season, losing only one of their last four.

They have managed only six goals on home turf, but defensively they have been fairly sound.

Sheffield Wednesday have conceded just seven home goals.

They are a quote of 14/5 to get three points on Tuesday, but they have lost their last four at home against Boro.

Boro have hit a bit of form as they are on a three-match winning streak in the league. They haven’t played since December 19th however.

They have conceded just the one goal in that winning streak and thumped Birmingham 4-1 away from home in their last game.

The away win certainly look is the more appealing option here.

Middlesbrough to win at 23/20
