Today’s horse racing odds and tips preview looks at our top selections of the day. It was a fantastic weekend of racing and there are some calmer waters ahead for the week.

But there is still plenty of racing tips to get through and we are looking at the action from Wolverhampton, Plumpton, Leicester and Kempton.

So we are mixing up the action between the flat and the jumps.

So here is the best of today’s horse racing odds for Monday, 16th November 2020.

We have a small field of just four runners to kick off this racing preview.

FRANCKY DU BERLAIS is the 6/4 favourite for the win* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 23:00 GMT on Sunday, 15th November 2020). It has been a good showing from him already this season.

With two runs under his belt for the campaign, opening with a win at Newton Abbot and then taking a runner up finish at Stratford, he is the one to beat.

There has been a 5lb rise in the ratings for Francky Du Berlais, but he has the class and form to defy that and pick up another win. He is however, not the best value pick.

The 2/1 selection of ours for this race is SMITH’S BAY* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 23:00 GMT on Sunday, 15th November 2020).

He was doing alright as a hurdler last season and now the switch to chasing is expected to see him kick on.

Smith’s Bay makes a return after over 10 months away. Trainer Alan King will likely have him sharp.

There are actually claims from all four of these in the race. ELISEZMOI is out for the first time since wind surgery. He came in at a longer trip as well and showed a bit of promise over the fences last season, including a runner up spot.

BLACK KALANISI was third on his last effort. He is the top-rated horse in this field and that last effort was in a Straford maiden. The handicapping may help his cause in this one.

Race Favourite

The race favourite here is SEE THE EAGLE FLY at 3/1* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 23:00 GMT on Sunday, 15th November 2020).

This will be the second hurdles appearance for the filly who opened with a win at Fontwell.

That was just last month and she will be carrying a penalty of 5lb because of that effort. Despite that, she looked good enough on that debut to deliver more.

KOBRA looks a nice fit for this contest for David Skelton after picking up a win on a flat maiden in Germany earlier this year. She is fairly well bred for the flat, but she should be able to make a big impression on his racetrack debut in the UK over the jumps.

The other selection will be FLAT WHITE who made her debut over the hurdles just over two weeks ago. She wasn’t particularly special on the flat, but made a good impression at Uttoxeter recently over the hurdles. F

lat White should be able to make some improvement to get closer here on her first trip for a new yard.

Race Favourite

Heading up the market as a strong odds-on favorite is CYCLOP at 4/6* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 23:00 GMT on Sunday, 15th November 2020).

He made a big step forward with form by scoring on his last trip.

Cyclop looked good getting the Chepstow conditions handicap win under his belt last week. That was with Lilly Pinchin in the saddle who stayed with the ride.

There has been no penalty for Cyclop as he moves forward and therefore, he has some big claims.

THE HAPPY CHAPPY has some nice appeal with strong claims as well. He has had a busy season under his belt and has been pretty consistent with his form.

The Happy Chappy collected a second place finish on his last run, five lengths behind the winner at Ludlow.

He gets the blinkers back on as he looked a bit disinterred on that last trip. There’s more there to tap into.

TZAR DE L’ELFE looks to be the other obitsu pick from the rest of the bunch. He has posted a reappearance run, taking an eight place finish at Fontwell.

This will be the longest distance that he has taken on, so stamina is a question. But he has a 7lb claimer and there are probably place claims there to consider.

Heading up the market at 6/4 for this contest is COURT DUTY* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 23:00 GMT on Sunday, 15th November 2020).

That is because he posted a very good win on his last trip. That was a score at Ffos Las.

The victory was just last week and he takes on a 7lb penalty because of that success. So this is going to require more from him.

Court Duty scored back to back novice handicap last season and he had plenty left in the tank last week.

Court Duty strolled to the win by 10 lengths which should offset a bit of the extra weight if he’s back in that kind of mood. He has reasonable claims to follow up.

LE COEUR NET looks to be a good mark to launch a bold bid here on his reappearance run. The last time he completed a race was on Boxing Day when he scored a narrow win at Wincanton.

The two races that he took after that were a total bust.

But the mark on him is good and worth keeping an eye on as he comes back potentially sharper.

But BAD BOY DU POULDU looks to have a better chance. He delivered a win and two runner-up finishes in his three trips this season.

That form can’t be ignored and the victory came on his penal utme trip, which went at Fontwell.

He has to be respected based on that straight form.

The leader for this on in the horse racing betting market is FOX POWER at 7/2* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 23:00 GMT on Sunday, 15th November 2020).

He is a previous course winner and he will be interesting coming back to the all-weather.

He was last seen in a tough handicap at York just over a month ago and he has been well down the field in his last three.

But Fox Power has a good track record here and if you go based only off his peak form, then he does check some boxes.

But we see better value elsewhere for horse racing betting. HABIT ROUGE is our selection at 9/2* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 23:00 GMT on Sunday, 15th November 2020).

It has been back to back wins for him.

Those were a maiden and a novice effort from him on the all weather at the one mile distance.

There should be more to come and it will be nice to see him handle greenness against more experienced players.

He looks to be going in the right direction, quickly.

LAWN RANGER is worth a look for some longer value. He scored three races ago and has been in the frame since.

His last run was at Kempton a couple of weeks ago and went well in the fixture for fourth place.

This will be the first run for Lawn Ranger on the Tapeta, and will likely be helped out by a drop in distance.

We close out a sprint at Kempton. JONAH JONES is the leader here at 3/1* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 23:00 GMT on Sunday, 15th November 2020).

He has been steady and consistent and at the very least has place claims.

His last run was at Doncaster three weeks ago when he was fourth in a field of 12. That was on a 6f trip.

This will be the debut on Polytrack for Jonah Jones. It will be interesting to see how well he goes on the surface. But this is a wide-open fixture.

MELODIC CHARM will have to come up with a bit more improvement still. The filly has been tested in Group 3 and Listed fixture after scoring on her debut.

She has looked at her best in handicapping and scored under rules at Wolverhampton a month ago on her most recent trip.

She climbs 3lb in ratings but Melodic Charm is well worth respecting. We think there is enough there at 9/2 to score* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 23:00 GMT on Sunday, 15th November 2020).

BENNY AND THE JETS may be worth revisiting as well. He is a previous course winner and well worth a look.

His last run was just 12 days ago over course and distance and Benny And The Jets took second place there on a credible run.

We have to assume that he will be back with another strong run at the venue.
