Race Favourite

The race favourite is JAMMY GOERGE at 11/4 for this handicap chase* (betting odds taken from Betway at 22:22 GMT on Friday, 13th November 2020).

He has gotten a reappearance run under his belt, which should help push him on.

Switching to the fences has seen Jammy George come into his own.

It was a fifth place finish at Aintree in a handicap chase that he took on his first effort of the season. Jammy George stays at the same mark and has a 5lb claimer.

So the recent improved form and the same mark equates to decent claims here.

Further franking his form, is that the third placed finisher in the Aintree effort has since gone on to claim a win.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

HEAD TO THE STARS makes his reappearance run in this one. It was a career best effort that he produced on his final start of the previous campaign.

He delivered a win in a 3m handicap chase at Ludlow in that particular race.

So Head To The Stars does warrant some respect here after that strong show in February.

There could be more to come from him and we fancy him at 15/2* (betting odds taken from Betway at 22:22 GMT on Friday, 13th November 2020)/

INDY FIVE would have to be the pick for the shortlist as well. He has plenty of experience behind him and will make his debut for Tom Symonds in this one.

This will be his first run of the season and he looks to be on a very good mark.

There were times that Indy Five looked at his best last season. He could be recharged following his move.

Race Favourite

This is the highlight race of Saturday. SIMPLY THE BETTS could be the one to beat in the race as well from 9/2* (betting odds taken from Betway at 22:22 GMT on Friday, 13th November 2020).

Last season he won four of his five runs over the hurdles. The last two wins that he put on the board were both at Cheltenham, so he will be making a return to a happy hunting ground.

The last of the wins that Simply The Betts took was in the Brown Advisory Plate at the Cheltenham Festival.

He demands a lot of respect and has to easily sit on the shortlist for horse racing betting in this one.

MISTER FISHER is expected to be the other big player in the field. That having been said, this is a very strong field overall for claims.

He has been coming along very well in the chasing sphere and that culminated in a tremendous effort at the Festival’s Marsh Movies’ in March.

That did see Mister Fisher miss a hattrick, but was still a superb effort. Handicapping is only going to get more out of the Nicky Henderson trained gelding.

One that we fancy to make a challenge is SLATE HOUSE, a former course and distance winner.

He took a fall a couple from home in last year’s renewal of this fixture. But then he showed his class and willingness to win his very next two races.

The form of Slate House did then tail off a bit at the end of the last campaign, but he’s not to be dismissed.

We are picking on emore names for an immensely strong Gold Cup Handicap Chase.

That will be SAINT SONNET who looks as if he will be a brilliant chaser. He was last seen in the Golden Miller at the Cheltenham Festival this year, showing plenty of potential with a seventh place finish.

Saint Sonnet has gotten off the mark in this sphere and is feared on his reappearance.

This is a big test of the staying power at Cheltenham on Saturday. TEA CLIPPER is a very strong favourite for this handicap hurdle at 4/1* (betting odds taken from Betway at 22:22 GMT on Friday, 13th November 2020).

There is a big reason for that. He is a class act.

Tea Clipper returned to action this season and delivered a win in the Silver Trophy at Chepstow. That’s four wins in his last five runs now and it looked as if more improvement had been made, and there is still more to come.

Tea Clipper is now up a further 7lb because of his form, but he is still looking strong. The 3m trip looks a fantastic fit for him.

This will be his first crack at the distance under rules, but it’s hard to ignore his present in this one.

Veteran DELL’ ARCA is well worth a look for this contest as well. That’s a testament to how well he is going at the moment.

He is thriving having secured back to back wins, retaining plenty of ability and stamina.

Those two wins have been at Aintree and Newbury and because of having a 7lb claimer on his back, then there is a big chance that he will get himself in the frame.

Dell’ Arca is certainly one to watch in the field we feel.

The other pick for the shortlist for this Listed run is last year’s winner GOLAN FORTUNE.

He scored from 14/1 in last year’s race bnd is a lot shorter than that for 2020. He will be wearing a visor for the first time, usually going for cheekpieces.

Connections look to have got Golan Fortune peaking for this one after a solid fourth place last time out at Aintree last weekend. Will that visor give him an edge?

SON OF CAMAS is the 11/5 favourite for this one at Cheltenham on Saturday* (betting odds taken from Betway at 22:22 GMT on Friday, 13th November 2020).

This will be his season opener for Nicky Henderson and his first run since his second wind surgery.

It will also be the handicap debut for Son Of Camas who does need to respond after his form started to drop at the end of last season.

Before that though, there were highlights with a bumper and a maiden hurdle win for him.

There was a disappointing end to the last campaign as Son Of Camas pulled up in Ballymore at the Cheltenham Festival in March.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

CAPTAIN TOM CAT comes back to action with a 6lb rise to deal with. Still, we think that there is a lot more to come from him.

Captain Tom Cat makes it to the shortlist for our race. Last month he delivered a win at course and distance on what was his handicap debut.

It also completed a hat-trick for him after scoring in a couple of Uttoxeter novices.

So he is thriving on the moment and on the up. With further progress over the hurdles, we think he’s the one to side with.

The other pick of the shortlist is TOPOFTHECOTSWOLDS who is in great shape as well. He won a course and distance novice fixture recently and he has been in the frame in each of his other two races this season.

Topofthecotswoldse was showing as a pretty useful chaser and should enjoy himself coming back to the hurdles.

This will be his handicap debut and with a yard in form, we can’t pass on a 10/1 quote in horse racing betting* (betting odds taken from Betway at 22:22 GMT on Friday, 13th November 2020).

An interesting small field is in attendance here at Lingfield. The clear market leader is DUBAI WARRIOR at 8/15 odds-on* (betting odds taken from Betway at 22:22 GMT on Friday, 13th November 2020).

He opened the season with a win for trainer John Gosden, which was in a Grade 3 contest, the Winter Derby.

He is a proven expert on the all-weather and that success was over course and distance.

So it’s a big claim for Dubai Warrior on Saturday. He has had one run since then only, a fifth place at Sandown in a Listed fixture.

Dubai Warrior sets the standard here as he is fresh for a big new all-weather campaign.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

PALAVECINO is worth a look to oppose the favourite with a bit of value. Just 12 days ago he posted a runners up finish in a Kempton Listed effort.

That continued some pretty decent form from him as well because Palavecino has won four of eight starts this season.

The other to note in the field will be Willie Haggas SINJAARI. He won his penalty race, his reappearance run for the season.

That win came at York in the John Smith’s Cup. But he followed up with a poor run at the Cambridgeshire. So he needs a big bounce-back performance.

Race Favourite

We finish with a bit of spring action at Lingfield. GOOD EFFORT is the 9/4 favourite* (betting odds taken from Betway at 22:22 GMT on Friday, 13th November 2020).

It has been stellar form from him this season on the all-weather.

It is three wins from three from him this season, making it a run of four straight wins.

Last time out he was here at Linfield scoring a 5f win. Good Effort will take some stopping. That was a very impressive handicap win that he took recently.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

The big challenger we feel to Good Effort is easily JUDICIAL. He was the winner of this contest 12 months ago and he has since built further form.

The peak of his season was scoring the Group 3 Chipchase. That’s two wins in five runs from him this season.

Judicial was seen in a Listed York run 69 days ago when he was a bit below par.

Given the market prices, Judicial is the value pick at 9/2 for opposing the favourite* (betting odds taken from Betway at 22:22 GMT on Friday, 13th November 2020).

The other one that we are considering for this race is SOLDIER’S MINUTE who posted a win on his last run.

This is a tougher race for him, but that was a career best that he produced on his last run.

It was a 6f success at Kempton. It is going to be interesting to see what more he has in him.
