ELIMAY is the current 13/8 favourite for this trip* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 22:22 GMT on Saturday, 15th November 2020).

It was sparkling form from the Willie Mullins-trained mare last season.

It was four straight wins from her and the pick of those was a Grade 2 chase at Thurles.

That was an extremely comfortable win as well by 9 lengths. There should be more to come from her as well.

She is a little unexposed over the hurdles, and this is a stiffer task. But another bold run from her is fully expected.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

BLACK TEARS is one to watch as well. She will be making her reappearance run for Gordon Elliot.

She’s a very smart mare over the hurdles and finishing off the last campaign with back to back runners up finishes.

The last of those was at Cheltenham in the Grade 3 Coral Cup in March.

Notably Black Tears beat Buildmeupbuttercup twice in March and is an 11/4 option* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 22:22 GMT on Saturday, 15th November 2020).

The other contender has to be BUILDMEUPBUTTERCUP who is a match fit against Black Tears. So that makes this even more interesting.

She is currently sitting on a hattrick and one of two in the race for Mullins.

The last run that she had was scored at Gowran by half a length. She’s strong enough to enter the frame.

Race Favourite

There is a bit of a lopsided field for this Celebration Hurdle at Punchestown on Sunday in terms of horse racing betting.

FURY ROAD is an overwhelming 1/4 odds-on favourite* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 22:22 GMT on Saturday, 15th November 2020).

Gordon Elliott’s hurdler was last seen in March at Cheltenham. It was a third place finish (by a neck) in the Albert Bartlett for him.

He was an extremely smart novice hurdler and even though he is giving weight to the rest of the field, Fury Road’s a massive threat.

He’s not a friendly price for punters, but he’s the clear one to beat, even though he’s not been at this distance for a while.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

The best we can come up with in opposition is BAPTISM OF FIRE at 13/2* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 22:22 GMT on Saturday, 15th November 2020).

He scored on his reappearance a month ago on his hurdling debut.

That was an 18-runner maiden here at Punchestown. So we think that puts Baptism Of Fire in the frame, slightly edging Dew Cup.

Race Favourite

SAINT ROI is the odds-on 4/6 favourite for this hurdle action* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 22:22 GMT on Saturday, 15th November 2020).

After securing back to back wins at the end of the last campaign, he has immediately picked up where he left off.

Wilile Mullins has seen his gelding score on his reappearance run at Tipperary a month and a half ago by a wide margin.

The smart hurdler is easily the pick of the bunch in this one.

Mullins has dominated this event for some time now and we just see him condition.

It was his victory at the County Hurdle at Cheltenham Festival that put Saint Roi firmly on the map. He’s got a lot more to come as well.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

ABACADABRAS is rated a big higher than SAINT ROI, however we just can’t get there for Gordon ellitot’s gelding.

He is another excellent hurdler in his own right and has had a reappearance run. That was second place finish at Down Royal a couple of weeks ago.

He will be in contention, but we don’t see him getting the better of the favourite.

He’s the obvious opposer for value at 2/1* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 22:22 GMT on Saturday, 15th November 2020).

JASON THE MILITANT will be interesting if he can find further progress. He opened his account with a very good third place at the WKD Hurdle at Down Royal a couple of weeks ago.

That’s the same race ABACADABRAS’ last effort. He will have the tongue strap for the first time and may have a say in this.

We switch back to the UK for some flat sprint action. ICE STATION ZEBRA is the 9/4 favourite for this Southwell handicap* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 22:22 GMT on Saturday, 15th November 2020).

She has been ticking along in very nice form and he will be coming onto the fibresand for the first time. It has been a couple of wins that the filly has collected from five trips this season.

The last time out Ice Station Zebra was seen at Windsor a month ago taking second place.

The turf form from her puts her in the picture here and if she’s adaptable enough to the fibresand, she is likely to be a big player.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

SHALLOW HAL is an obvious shortlist contender for this handicap. There was a course and distance win last month for him and he will return with a 7lb rise in the ratings.

But that was a big step forward in form from him last time out, which was about three weeks ago. He was running on at C&D and therefore has to bring claims.

LUCKY LUCKY MAN will be the other player for us in this contest. He has scored two of his last three recently and is taking on some nice improvement at the moment.

Lucky Lucky Man scored at Catterick on a 6f sprint in heavy going three weeks ago. He delivered when more was asked of him.

This will be his first go on the fibresand and looks value at 6/1* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 22:22 GMT on Saturday, 15th November 2020).

CHRISTMAS IN APRIL is a narrow 2/1 favourite for this trip* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 22:22 GMT on Saturday, 15th November 2020).

This will be his first go of the season for trainer Colin Tizzzard, who will be looking for more from his charge.

Christmas in April disappointed at Uttoxeter in his final run of the last campaign, a season in which he had scored three times.

He is usually a solid player when he comes back refreshed, so Christmas In April has some claims here. He is a very good stayer and this will be his 10th go over the fences so has the experience.

DOING FINE could do just fine at Fontwell on Sunday. He was sent out to work over the summer and so he arrived nice and sharp.

The 12 year old veteran is still going strong and on his penultimate race he showed that he retains plenty of ability by scoring at Uttoxeter.

He followed that up with a good showing at Sedgefield and therefore can get in the frame.

The other shortlist played for us is GANGSTER for a bit of longer value. On his penultimate race he came good at Perth to land a runners up spot.

He wasn’t quite at the same level when showing up at Sedgefield on his last run. But he has some claims here with a 5lb claimer and a good mark to boot.

HAVACUPPA is the 2/1 favourite for our final race of the day* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 22:22 GMT on Saturday, 15th November 2020).

She will be looking for a big return to action after scoring on her final run of last season.

That was hurdle success in the mud at Uttoxeter back in March.

So that’s eight months away from the action, but probably nothing that will diminish her chances. If she is sharp on return then more likely than not, she will be in it.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

KENTFORD MALLARD has to be feared. She struck a nice bit of recent formo with a second place in a 12-runner field at Chepstow three weeks ago.

She is only up 1lb from that run and it proves that she is a match fit.

Will that be enough of an advantage to see her get one over the favourite? Kentford Mallard gets the cheek pieces.

The final selection will be FURIA D’OUDAIRIES because of some recent action for her too. She looks a bit steader on her return than she did last season in handicaps.

After a fourth place on her reappearance run, Furia D’Oudairies did very well on a 2m trip at Plumpton a month ago. There’s slow and steady progress from her.
