It’s another top day of racing including the Gimcrack and the Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes.

Some of the top juveniles around are in focus for horse racing betting in this one, which is a Group 1 contest.

Heading up the market currently are joint 11/4 favourites SUESA and GOLDEN PAL* (betting odds recorded 21:06 GMT on 19th August 2021 at William Hill).

Of those two, it is SUESA who just shades preference. She showed brilliant form to land the King George Stakes at Goodwood.

That was an easy success for her and it moved her to five wins in six appearances.

That was also a notable piece of form after a misfire in the Commonwealth Cup on her penultimate day.

Suesa looks like a class act, with that King George Stakes win coming by three lengths. This is quick ground for her, but she should handle herself well.

USA challenger GOLDEN PAL easily comes into the frame in this one. He won a Grade 3 at Saratoga on his reappearance run last month.

He claimed the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint in November and has had a run in the UK before, taking a second-place finish at Royal Ascot in 2020.

The other to watch for the shortlist is WINTER POWER. She looks to have a great turn of speed in her and was second over course and distance on her latest.

That was in a listed contest and she may well have enough to get into the thick of this.

This is a strong contest with plenty of claims running deep through the line up.

LUSAIL is definitely a big player at 9/4* (betting odds recorded 21:06 GMT on 19th August 2021 at William Hill).

It has been three wins in four runs for him. The first of those was over course and distance on his debut, so that gives him good claims.

He defied a penalty at Newmarket to get his second career win, before going back there to land the July Stakes by a narrow margin on his latest.

Lusail is under a 3lb penalty for this contest and rates a major threat. Also under a penalty is BERKSHIRE SHADOW.

He was the winner of the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot to follow up on a debut score at Newbury.

Berkshire Shadow was second in the Vintage Stakes at Goodwood three weeks ago. Things didn’t quite go his way there and can be a big player on his return.

We think that ORAZIO can have a big shout in this one. He picked up a win on his debut in what was a Windsor novice.

He was a close third on his follow up at Newbury last time out and can put together a strong bid.

The great STRADIVARIUS is in action on Friday at York. he is the current 11/8 favourite to take this race* (betting odds recorded 21:06 GMT on 19th August 2021 at William Hill).

He opened the season with a win, but could only manage a fourth-place finish in the Group 1 Gold Cup at Ascot at a longer 2m 4f trip last time out in June.

There were excuses for Stradivarius on the day and he is heavily fancied to bounce back immediately to winning form.

TRUESHAN picked up the title in the recent Goodwood Cup and the high-class performer didn’t need to find a lot to get that.

The conditions may not suit him perfectly on Friday but rates a threat regardless.

SPANISH MISSION took a win in the Yorkshire Cup on his penultimate run and he put together a good effort in the Gold Cup at Ascot, finishing third there.

He is no forlorn hope here as he did have the beating of Stradivarius in the Gold Cup fixture.

SEA LA ROSA looks like a dangerous threat in the field as well. She scored at Redcar in a small field last time out, getting herself back to good form.
