Today’s Horse Racing Tip

It is an exciting sprint to start the day’s horse racing tips. DANDALA is the 7/4 favourite* (betting odds recorded 19:46 GMT on May 20th 2021 at Bet365).

On her appearance, she struggled to get going a little bit in the Fred Darling on a longer 7f trip. She travelled very well for a long way in the contest.

The tongue tie now goes on and the cut in trip will help as she is lily on the path to Royal Ascot.

Dandalla won a couple of times as a juvenile over a 6f trip, so there is clearly better to come from her.

One to watch out for down the list could be TWILIGHT SPINNER who scored emphatically in a Ripon maiden two weeks ago.

But at the end of the day, we expect a big strong effort from Dandalla.

We have a good contest here with plenty of claims coming in. LADY HAYES has plenty of potential on her side, and with a settled run then she could have a say.

So too TALBEYAH who claimed a win at Chepstow ahead of one that has since gone on to win. She is coming up in class and looks a good fit for it.

There was a lot to like about her recent Ascot effort in which she claimed third.

The daughter of Kingman showed tremendous promise there and the extra trip here is sure to play to her advantage.

This is another good contest for the day and we are having a fancy for TORONADO GREY who is there as an 11/2 selection* (betting odds recorded 19:46 GMT on May 20th 2021 at Bet365).

He came into action on the back of a score just over four months ago at Lingfield. That was in a novice effort.

He looks a progressive type now and he delivered the win at Lingfield after a slow start.

If he translates that form over to the turf, then he looks set to be a big player on Friday on what is his handicap debut.

Other strong claims are knocking around of course. YEAR OF THE DRAGON was only very narrowly beaten last time out and Ascot so is likely to feature strongly.

Another with form is MARSABIT who scored over course and distance on his latest effort. There should be plenty more to come from him as he comes up 5lb.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

This is a fasting Listed fixture at Goodwood on Friday. STAY WELL has been entered for the Derby this year and hit some cracking form last time out.

On his first run as a three-year-old, he scored impressively in a Windsor maiden by 8 lengths. More progress is likely.

The step-up in distance in that effort really played into his hands and his potential looks to be sky-high. So he just has to be kept on side as long as he takes to the conditions well.

YIBIR can’t totally be counted out of this, despite missing out as the favourite in the Dee Stakes at Chester last time.

The track didn’t suit him well on the day there.

But for all the claims that are knocking around, we are leaning on ALEAS at 3/1* (betting odds recorded 19:46 GMT on May 20th 2021 at Bet365).

He completed a hattrick on his last run, fully delivering on the progressive ability that he showed as a juvenile. Aleas demolished a Haydock handicap field two weeks ago.

It was about as impressive as it gets. There should be even more to come from him on a longer trip, so Aleas is our horse racing tip.

HOODWINKER and ARCTIC EMPEROR look to be the two stand-out runners in this contest. DEPUTY should not be far away either.

But we are just leaning towards HOODWINKER who got off the mark last time out. That was at Wolverhampton in December and she will make her handicap debut here.

She did have to work hard to get that Wolverhampton score, but she is with superb handlers and the handicapping is no doubt going to pull more from her.

So she just gets the nod at 2/1* (betting odds recorded 19:46 GMT on May 20th 2021 at Bet365).

Arctic emperor has taken a second-place finish in his two runs as a three-year-old and should be well in the mix.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

ORIN SWIFT is going to be our final horse racing tip of the day at 15/2* (betting odds recorded 19:46 GMT on May 20th 2021 at Bet365).

Three weeks ago he picked up a victory right here at Goodwood, albeit on a shorter trip. In that fixture, he had three of these runners for Friday’s fixture behind him.

Orin Swift is a runner who is solid at 2m as well, so we think that he is going to feature strongly with Tom Marquand booked.

One of the principal threats is going to be EAST ASIA who scored easily for his new yard at Newbury just a week ago. He will be under a 5lb penalty.

The one other to consider for the shortlist is SOLAR SCREEN who was third behind Orin Swift on his latest run but will benefit from the longer trip.
