Today’s Horse Racing Tips & Odds – Friday, 24th September 2021

It has been a great few days of action at Newmarket this week and there are more big races to come on Thursday for today’s horse racing tips.

There is more Group action that we are going to focus on for today’s horse racing tips, including the Rockfel Stakes and Joel Stakes.

Along with some picks from the day’s card at Newmarket, we are also visiting York.

So here are the best of today’s horse racing tips for Friday, 24th September 2021.

Race Preview

FOORAT is the market leader for this 1m trip at Newmarket on Friday, which is a Listed Fillies’ And Mares’ contest.

She is still low mileage and in July she had a good run at York, albeit a little bit of an unlucky one. Foorat comes down on a trip for this one.

That recent effort at York was at Listed level and there was enough in it to suggest Roger Varian’s filly can find a win.

DUBAI LOVE has to enter calculations on her return after a break of 218 days. She has run at a higher level, getting in the frame at Meydan a couple of times at Group 2 earlier this year.

At Royal Ascot, last season Dubai Love was top weight and claimed a tremendous third-place finish there. Dubai Love gets her first run since a wind op too.

The final selection for the shortlist is WEDDING DANCE who is unexposed. She gets the headgear for the first time and returns after a break of 419 days.

Despite that 13 month break, there was a lot of promise in her form as a 2-year-old.

She was a maiden winner on the July Course last summer. Wedding Dance was second in a Group 3 at Deauville on her latest run.

ALBAFLORA is such a good filly that she is going to get plenty of backing at Newmarket on Friday in this Group 3 contest.

She was a runner up in the Yorkshire Oaks last time out, finding only Snowfall too good on the day there.

There was a big win for Albaflora on her reappearance this season and all season long she has been facing high-class runners. The drop in grade should see her go close.

FORBEARANCE has had a good consistent season and looks like being an obvious player in this contest on Friday.

She was third in the Group 3 Paddy Power Stakes at Leopardstown two weeks ago. She was third by a neck in that one.

It’s been two wins for Forbearance in her last four runs and she needs to be highly respected for this effort.

The other for the shortlist is Hugo Palmer’s GOLDEN PASS who was second a couple of weeks ago in the Park Hill.

She has won twice this season, indulging at Listed level. There’s a lot to like about her and she looks in good enough heat to come up with a bold effort.

Others to warrant some respect in the field are LADY HAYES and SAYYIDA, the latter have scored at course and distance this year.

Race Preview

This fixture for the youngsters at Newmarket looked like a wide-open contest. MAJESTIC GLORY is to be respected for it.

She landed a win on the July Course in the Sweet Solera and is now sitting on a hat-trick chance. That was her first go at 7f and she has been franked since.

ROMANTIC TIME picked up a score at Salisbury in the Dick Poole Stakes on her latest effort and she had plenty left in the tank there.

So she comes up on a trip that is likely to bring even more out of her. So Romantic Time is on the shortlist and another to consider is JUMBLY.

Jumbly is excited about having shown plenty of promise by winning her first two appearances.

Wins at Leicester and Kempton have left her in good shape and has a lot more to offer.

BENBATL almost picked up a score at Goodwood a month ago. He missed out by a short head in the Celebration Mile.

That’s big form, nonetheless. Benbatl was the 2019 winner of the Joel Stakes and last year he claimed third in the fixture.

There has to be solid claims for him. One notable thing though is that he gives 4lb away to another of the big players, MASTER OF THE SEAS.

Charlie Appleby’s Master Of The Seas returns after a break of 146 days. There has been plenty of improvement for him and has won over course and distance in the Craven Stakes.

Master Of The Seas went close in the 200 Guineas here at Newmarket as well but was just caught at the line. He has to feature strongly.

SIR BUSKER has to find his way onto the shortlist. There was a third palace finish in the Queen Anne at Royal Ascot for her.

She turned out quickly here after a third-place at Salisbury 9 days ago, but she is firmly on the shortlist for this contest.

ALIGNAK has won at the Listed level before, a victory which happened on his last run of the previous season.

On his reappearance a couple of weeks ago, he basically looked as if he needed the effort after the break. It was the fourth-place finish there.

But with some wind in his lungs now, Alignak is well worth putting on the shortlist for this race on Friday.

WITHOUT A FIGHT was a handicap winner at Haydock three weeks ago.

On his penultimate race, he put in a solid showing to take fourth at Newbury in the Geoffrey Freer. Without A Fight is going to need more for this, but rates a danger.

Going for last year’s winning trainer Charlie Appleby is STAR SAFARI. With his yard having a good record in this, it’s expected that he will make his presence felt.

Star Safari is eased in grease after a close seventh in a Group 3 contest in France 47 days ago. He did claim back to back wins in Dubai earlier this year, including one at Group 3.

Race Preview

We finish off today’s horse racing tips with a look at this class 3 York Handicap in which A BOY NAMED IVY is expected to go well.

There have been back to back second-place finishes for him, the latest of which happened at Thirsk three weeks ago.

A Boy Named Ivy was a little unlucky in that one, but overall seems to have rediscovered form.

COSMOS RAJ isn’t going to go away lightly. He nearly completed a hattrick with a second-place finish at Newmarket on a 1m tip last time out.

That was an excellent performance and is starting to fulfil some potential. The final shortlisted one for this is INVINCIBLY.

He is under a 6lb penalty after a win at Ayr last week. He comes up in class for this one, so it’s much tougher.

Invincibly held on well to score and this is going to be how much improvement he can find.
